I love the weather and have always been interested in it. To me, the creation of incredible storms and the patterns of heat, wind, fronts, and pressure systems in absolutely incredible, especially since many of these things still baffle humans!
I want to know: does anybody share my interest? Any other weather buffs out there? Or, some interesting story or fact about the weather?
How hot has it gotten, Ernie15 (preferably a Fahrenheit temp.)?
Yesterday, according to my thermometer, it got to be about 88 in my home and I had the fan on. That isn't much for some people here, but I'm not used to it where I live.
I really don't like hot weather. It makes me want to just lie down and die (and then respawn when it cools down).
I hate the weather, literally Every day its almost a hundred degrees, it never rains, everything is dead, there isn't anything but dirt, and the wind never seems to stop blowing. Can you guess where I live?
I love the Northern Lights! I've never had the pleasure of seeing them, however...
@GhostOfMatrix
I totally agree! Thunderstorms, even severe, tend to put me in an incredibly happy and relaxed state. The best part is playing outside in heavy rain. :P
where I live there are some nasty storms that come through every once and a while. A few weeks ago this horrific lightning storm came through and hit a tree and the tree burst into flames.
Wow. That's sounds bad, yet very entertaining to watch. :P
@vinster132
Do you not typically get rain during the summer?
--- Yesterday, I walked outside and there was a thunderhead nearby! Even better, there were no leading clouds to obstruct it. So, I had a complete, undisturbed view of the storm. I could see the lightning bolts and flashes streaking between the top and bottom of the anvil and many places in between. It was incredibly cool.
I was up at Bay Beach two days ago. It started raining a bit. There were very few clouds. They were thin and white, not storm clouds. The sun was high and it wasn't dark at all, but it was raining. HOW?!?
