The chicken, it's obvious. The egg can't come first because something would have to evolve into an egg and it just doesn't make sense. Evolution doesn't work that way.

It does. Say an egg laying species underwent a mutation at conception. This mutation could cause a chicken to come out of the egg. This is to say that chickens became what they are by mutating from another species.

Actually, hens lay eggs on their own. They don't need roosters. The kind of eggs you buy in stores aren't fertilized and cannot hatch.
