When Safer Sephiroth came down while "One Winged Angel" played. Never has a final boss music struck me quite like it.

Another one could be "Evil Messenger/Darkness" of Eternity from Final Fantasy IX. Not only did it start out like a remix of one of my favorite tracks in the game, It is the most epic non-final boss music I have heard in a game to daate.
A close third is "Zero" from Ace Combat Zero.

The music is epic with a touch of sadness, as you are fighting one on one with your former wingman. Once, I timed the most epic part of the music exactly with the cutscene when he launches the V2 you've just tried to disable.
there are many pieces of music i think are epic. i would say the end boss of golden sun 2 (actually any fight in golden sun) is very epic. i like the remix of bramble blast they did on ssbb. but the game with the most epic music in my opinion is definitely lylat wars. EVERY music there is epic lol espacially area 6
I would say the menu music in Civilization IV. It's Mungu Yetu (our father), a Swahili gospel. I think it fits to that game and getting such music just in the menu is a treat.
What about Alan Wake, epic soundtrack in general. I also loved the song for the intro of Tales of Vesperia. Can someone tell me the name of that one? Or maybe Endless Possibilities on Sonic Unleashed? Although...there is this one song, on one game I've played...unfortunately I cant remember the games name.
Why isn't there someone who remembered the theme song from Battlefield 1942. I played the game when I was a child with my friends and I loved it so the song remembered of my childhood.
I like the music played throughout all of the Fable games. Also, i used to be in love with the Runescape music when i used to play. The most annoying music is without a doubt in the Halo series. And what I hate about the Halo music, if you dont start up a game in 2 seconds, the music gets louder and louder and louder and louder.
