I dont know why people believe in them, there wasn't a miracle NEVER the history about jesus is only a story we dont know if the miracles are real and, has he ever done nothing for you? no I'm Atheist and nothing happened to me in my life.
My parent injected me the religion, but when i grew up i became an atheist because i thought at that, i never went more to the church and nothing happened to me besides the fact that i dont need more to go to the church on sunday morning (Muahhauahh)
Mindsucker, your not paying now but you'll burn in hell for eternity. Then you'll be sorry for doubting (but I mean it in the most loving way possible).
I can't tell if your joking or not here.
For those who deny Jesus existed, there are records of early Christians of Jesus saying he had 12 dedicated followers
Can you present these records?
and from a famous Jewish historian Josephus. He also wrote about the life of Jesus from what he heard and saw.
It would have been entirely based on what he heard being he was born in 37AD. There is also controversy over whether everything written by him on the subject was actual his writings as well.
Josephus' writings cover a number of figures familiar to Bible readers. He discusses John the Baptist, James the brother of Jesus, Pontius Pilate, the Sadducees, the Sanhedrin, the High Priests, and the Pharisees. As for Jesus, there are two references to him in Antiquities. I will recount them in the order in which they appear. This is from http://www.bede.org.uk/Josephus.htm There are your records, and the people who argue that he did are just trying to deny that Jesus existed by saying that the records are controversial so they don't feel bad about their faith so they can do immoral things without worring about them.

Most people who don't believe in Jesus deal in facts before belief while faith does not. It's not a matter of wanting to do immortal things, but rather wanting proof before devoting themselves to one of the many religions out there. Even if Jesus' death and ressurection were proven, how would they know which form of Christianity to join?

Again so long as his works are in question as to actually being his works, I wouldn't suggest using him as a source. Further more Josephus is a second hand account, meaning he only had hearsay to go on.
With that said it's quite possible there was a real figure the Biblical Jesus was based on. However there is also evidence indicating Jesus was a combination of a number of characters both real and fictional.
