I dont know why people believe in them, there wasn't a miracle NEVER the history about jesus is only a story we dont know if the miracles are real and, has he ever done nothing for you? no I'm Atheist and nothing happened to me in my life.
My parent injected me the religion, but when i grew up i became an atheist because i thought at that, i never went more to the church and nothing happened to me besides the fact that i dont need more to go to the church on sunday morning (Muahhauahh)
I think if we atheist were able to prove that any god doesn't exist it would bring world peace. World with out religion = A world of peace
Well, theoretically. But most religious people would ignore your proofs, choosing to stick with their religion. Or they would go crazy and start getting violent. Either way is not so great, I guess only those who were unsure anyway would quit religion.
God is just a scapegoat for all the worlds probs. I think, religion was a bad idea, but i guess people needed something to pin the things they couldnt explain on.
You're right in this case. But couldn't we just enforce non extermist point of view on religon? It just seems to me that the ones who kill themselfs are extermists and the majority are perfectly sane.
But an extremists only does what he thinks God told him. How is this different from normal religious people? How can we say: Those are a bunch of lunatics. They think an invisible God told them to kill. But these guys are okay. They think God didn't tell them to kill. What's the difference?
But if these people would be okay with killing isn't that a bigger problem? I think they extremists should be targeted and not the religon they follow. If you're willing to selfishly kill for 72 virgins, then you have a serious problem.
You're religious, right? Wouldn't you obey Gods commands?
Besides most of the people of the religon wouldn't.
Because most people aren't very religious. The most people in Europe that call themselves Christian don't go to church, don't pray, they don't even believe in a personal God. The Muslims in the West also don't pray 5 times a day how they should. People know that the "holy books" were just written by men.
the reason our population is growing is because most of the world belives their God tells them not to kill.
Sorry, but this is bullsh*t.
World with out religion = A world of peace
No. There are other factors for war like money, racism etc.
Ok, so lets say you put a christian and a muslim in a closed enviornment. They wouldn't kill each other. They wold definitly fight over certain things, but most of the time it wouldn't even be about religon. But if for whatever reason the christian got mad at the muslim he might attack his religon because it will hurt him. It wouldn't because of religon, but religon would be used as an excuse. I could be wrong because I haven't personally meet a group of people who are bad only because of religon. Except maybe for westboro.

Well one kills. The other doesn't. So one does no harm.
the reason our population is growing is because most of the world belives their God tells them not to kill.
Sorry that came out wrong. I meant if every person belived they should kill others not of their religon then most people would be trying to kill each other.
No. There are other factors for war like money, racism etc.
Thank you! This is one of the points I'm trying to get across. Some might genuinually hate because of religon. But most hate because of the reasons above.

I guess your right. The people wouldn't be able to accept the truth or know how to come back the proof/evidence so they would act in a way in which they already do when they don't have an answer by lashing out or going into an extreme state of denial or twisting a little fact so you can make a big interpretation out of it and state it as if it were a fact
the reason our population is growing is because most of the world belives their God tells them not to kill.
You mostly have science to thank for this, particularly breakthroughs in agriculture and the medical field.
America has done a lot of bad things, but that doesn't make it a bad country. It's filled with a lot of nice caring people. So I apply it to religon.
Just because you can find good people in a country doesn't mean the country is good. The same can be said of religion.
I could be wrong because I haven't personally meet a group of people who are bad only because of religon. Except maybe for westboro.
A good number of controlling factors in the Muslim countries come to mind. Much of the KKK was quite religiously influenced. There are other terrorist organizations such as the Taliban NLFT. There are orthodox Christian movements such as the Iron Guard.

I did cover this. "How many would not have followed into a war (even if the initial start was not religious) if they thought their deity wasn't backing it?"
Just because religion my not be an initial factor it is still often used as fuel.
You mostly have science to thank for this, particularly breakthroughs in agriculture and the medical field.
I know, that's why I reworded what I meant to say.
Just because you can find good people in a country doesn't mean the country is good. The same can be said of religion.
Okay... So then what would make it good?
Just because religion my not be an initial factor it is still often used as fuel.
But if you got rid of it then people would use other sources of fuel. And some people use it for reasons other then to fuel fires.

Yeah that's true. So I'm curious, do you think nobody should have religon because some misuse it?
But what if your God told you to kill? Would you do it?
I want to hear the answer to this as well. If the answer is 'yes' then that shows that religion can be/is a bad thing as it drives people to kill others. If the answer is 'no' then I have to wonder why you're ignoring the word of your deity. If the answer is 'my God would never tell me to do something like that' then who the heck are you to say what your deity is and isn't allowed to tell you to do?
Many people think that god is telling them to kill in his name, Hitler had the holocost and in Mein Kampf he states a creator of the universe wants a pure ayran race and was helping him him achieve that goal. Religon has NEVER offered anything good in this world physically like medicines, only wars and arguments with a little child **** on the side. if you read the bible there are countless stories of god telling and helping people destroy cities, kill children, and chop off 200 foreskins.
But what if your God told you to kill? Would you do it?
If my God told me to kill another I'd have to consider if this was the God I thought I was following. He told me not to kill and if I was suddenly told to kill I would be very confused. This would mean that this isn't the God I thought I was following. If that happened I'd probably be a little lost. But to belive this I would need to hear it from God himself and no one else. And if someone had to die. Then it would need to be me. Because I would have no good reason to take anothers life and I get depressed just thinking about it.
If my God told me to kill another I'd have to consider if this was the God I thought I was following.
Which begs the question - do you often hear voices telling you what to do...?
And if someone had to die. Then it would need to be me. Because I would have no good reason to take anothers life and I get depressed just thinking about it.
So you wouldn't trust that an almighty, all knowing god would know what is best for you and the human race altogether? Which again begs the question - Why do you even follow that religion if you won't listen to it in the first place?
