Does anyone understand the point of these ads? I really don't get it, and they're everywhere. I'm not mad, I'm just curious as to what their point is. Am I missing something?

I'm sorry, honestly the first time I glanced over the thread title I thought it said, 'Those "I'm a Moron" ads'.

Seriously tho, I'd just ignore the ads. It's kind of like the military ads.

and it's not really technically illegal, and rejecting the ads would be considered religious discrimination, most likely.

You know buddy, advertising is not universally the same when it comes to the internet? Do you get advertisements for tourism to Queensland and the bloody Rugby World Cup?

Well, I never denied that. I would expect you people in North America to be bombarded with ads relevant to your geographical location.

In the sense that the UK is close to Poland, yes, the AGHQ in California is close to Utah.

I think the popup ads don't differ depending on geographical location. They might be under a completely different system from the regular "stand still" ads.
