Should marijuana be legal in all 50 states for medical use? For example people with crones disease have a horrific pain and the use of marijuana helps ease the pain.

It's illegal because the Christians that rule this country prefer their deity to be your vice of choice.

To the chart!

I don't know either way. I would love to see some literature on marijuana causing overdoses or causing horrible addiction problems, like crack, heroin, etc. Right now I feel it should be legal with or without medicinal purposes because if you're the right age and able to comply with moderation then you should be able to smoke it responsibly.

First of all, to the person who said their friend died of marijuana intoxication is wrong. There is not a person on this planet who died from marijuana consumption. People would much rather trust doctors who push their drugs on people which can acually kill someone. I will not go full depth on this issue. What I will say is there are a lot of individuals who rely on marijuana just to EAT. I just truly hope no one who opposes marijuana in any way develops any condition where you lose your appetite. Because when you exhaust every other option avalible, and deal with the associated side effects, marijuana dosen't seem so bad.

1st you can't take to much marijuana.
2nd marijuana is less bad for your body then alcohol. you feel the alcohol damaging your body the morning after. whit marijuana you don't feel anything 3 hours after youve smoked.
3rd legal marijuana will lower crime rates by 30% atleast.
in the 1920's marijuana was legal all over the world. only after ww2 when america went for vietnam and the hippies they sended didn't wanna fight they started the war on drugs wich was at the begin basicly a war on marijuana. america illegalized marijuana because they needed soldiers that did not smoke marijuana.

i'm from the netherlands and i often smoke marijuana. because it is legal here so i know what i'm talking about if it comes to legal marijuana. and what the good and bad points are. and to be honest. the things that happen whit legal marijuana is that some people make a ****load of money because they own the shop but this makes sure that the normale guy on the street can't sell his marijuana anymore. so their will be less dealing on the streets. also you can't argue about the price because evry1 pays the same in the shop. and because it is legal. less people want to try it out. it's normale human behavier to tryout things that he or she is not allowed to. legal marijuana and marijuana wont be that special anymore.

The level of control and regulation that should be exercised over the substance is still up for much debate.

That said, anyone who still supports full prohibition of the substance as a Schedule I drug is either clinging to pure fallacy and disinformation or has an agenda supported by it's continued illegality. You must be delusional to believe that the danger to society posed by the substance itself outweighs the societal costs of prohibition.

It's that simple.

Even if it was legal, I don't smoke. I think it should be legal, though. We waste so much money trying to keep people from smuggling it in the country, and could make so much money if we taxed it and sold it at high prices. If we legalized it, a lot of border violence between cartels and police would hopefully be resolved also.
