Personally I find the latest CoD's as the same thing, you'd be alright just buying Call of Duty 4 and enjoying the few mods on there now, that, and the dedicated servers on there that are actually helpful.
If not, then I suggest you just buy something nicer, a movie, perhaps. I hear Inception is pretty cool :P
From CoD4-7 they're pretty much the same if you ask me, almost definitely I think it'll be the same for CoD8, don't spend your money and support the game for adding new weapons, changing the killstreaks a bit and slightly enhancing the graphics.
New maps are no big deal by the way - SCII gets like 5-7 for FREE per season. Isn't that amazing?
Im getting tired of all these CoD's coming out, they all have pretty much the same gameplay. They just making it look better, but I bet it will still be the same as the others. Im going to try something else for once.
I'm getting it because I always get the new cods but MW3 might be my last because In my opinion mw3 is the last chance for them to keep people interested because black ops was annoying with ak74u sniping and famas before patch and mw2 had OMA noobtubes which ruined the game so if Mw3 isn't good i'm not buying anymore cod games but I wont be getting battlefield.
if u want a nice shooter buy Battlefield 3. It is a whole new game compared to the last battlefield and it has uber graphics, nice gameplay, and a play-worthy single-player. Cod 8 (****ing 8 already) is just cod 6 with new maps and a few new weapons.
Well, I've spoken across various topics as to why I fear for Modern Warfare 3 (even named a thread after that concept, got rave reviews for my arguments) but i will be getting MW3 probably during Christmas or later in 2012. It's a CoD game, and if I'm going to make any future arguments as to why it may or may not be bad, I'm going to need experience.
So get the game so you can properly formulate an intelligent argument on your standpoint as to yay or nay CoD, and get back to me after september. wait... yea, its being released in september...hm. That's soon.
I hate people that say Battlefield 3 is better I mean ffs the games arent out yet and people are already judging them just because mw2 had flaws with oma noobtube doesn't mean mw3 will have flaws like that and every game has flaws including battlefield.
He might be saying than to buy CoD MW3 fail, he is better off with an awesome game like Skyrim.
I said it in the way that I imply "How is Skyrim better?", quite frankly I've heard of it a lot but know pretty much nothing about it.

That is literally all assumption, please don't state it as fact.
That, and I won't be getting BF3 because whilst I expect it will be a fantastic game (being a player of 1942, 1943, Battlefield 2, 2142, Bad Company 2 and probably the other old ones as well), I won't be getting it for the preorder bonuses which is just painful to see. If I want a game I'd rather something that doesn't even SLIGHTLY imbalance it or give anything to a player for simply preordering, even if it's for mere vanity. No version of a game should give an ingame-effect unless it is mere vanity, but definitely not preorder, and maybe not collectors edition (should be more of a physical in real life thing, right? ).
Chillz. I'm not sure CoD really gives 2 dimes about yours or mine opinion -- don't buy the game because that's pretty much all I want, pretty sure of that in any case.
Why else would it be a low quality game in comparison to other things out there? (*Cough* Crysis 2 / Bad Company 2 *Cough*) - H
I won't be buying MW3 until it's released and I read really good reviews for the game. I didn't like MW2 at all and I don't want an even worse remake of MW2.
highfire how do u figure. Do u even play the champain. Cause if u hav u would know that it way different. Online is the only thing like that. GET REAl!!

CoD has little variance - you have a couple stealth missions, one or two sniping scenes and the rest is just basic firefighting. In a game like Battlefield it can go much further - Tank fighting, Mortar Support, Aircraft battles (CoD: BO had one part of that using poor controls... not really a + if you ask me), destructible ground to further morph the always-different gameplay (whilst it is different for CoD too I feel as an FPS it is not sufficiently different)
That, and that's all in the basic gameplay - not through added mechanics etc.
Also, how often do you play the campaign? GET REAl!!
Hm...I like CoD but right now I'm sticking with MW2 and Black Ops. I don't think the multiplayer is going to be different, I bet. When it comes out I'll wait for a couple of weeks and then look at some videos and reviews and see if it's good.
