U know a lot of ppl in the USA r racists and its very stupid coz y do ppl judge others accordin 2 their colour,i mean its like treatin a kid differently 2 an adult.So,my question is,do u think im rite?
Yeah, but different genes express themselves differently, which is why those of a darker skin color would produce more Melatonin.
The gene for melatonin expression is the same in black skin than in white skin, the gene expression is different. Yes, expression of genetically identical DNA strands can be regulated and thus can lead to different results. This only means that more/less proteins are being translated, not that there is a change in the DNA.
Something different; I made that example earlier:
We are genetically so close that if you take a native African and a native Asian, the genetic difference between them is statistically smaller than between, for example, two orang-utans from Borneo.
I realized I didn't get it quite right. It should have been: If you take an African and an Asian, there is statistically less genetic variation between them than there would be between two Asians or between two Africans. You see, if the genetic variation between two random people is almost bigger than between two ethnic groups, I don't see a point to define races.
