I am not ashamed to admit two things about my life. One, I am a Christian. Second, I am bisexual. I am a Libertarian at heart, and I believe in equal social rights for all.
I have heard church propaganda over and over again about how it is immoral to be gay, or to engage in any homosexual activity. The pastor at the Lutheran church that I used to go to has said, "Gays are immoral and will burn in hell." Most right-wing "Christians" will say the same thing. In high school, I fell into the same trap. I tried to repress those homosexual desires. I spoke out about immoral the gays were, and that the government should only be filled with Christians who would create a perfect Christian society.
It was my first year of college that I finally stopped fooling myself. I had repressed my desires for nearly 3 years. It is time for right-wing "Christian" politicians to accept that homosexuality is a biological function. There is no choice in sexuality. If sexuality is a choice, can straight people change to being gay? No! So why do anti-gay groups think gays can become straight? There is no 'on/off' switch that can be flipped to change sexuality.
What these anti-gay groups should be focusing on is not gays. I donât know the exact figures, but there are hundreds, if not thousands of references to helping the poor in the Bible, while there are a dozen or so references condemning homosexuality. A real Christian would not spend his/her time condemning homosexuals; instead they should help the poor, needy, and less-fortunate.
To Wildstriker: God laid waste to the citys becuase of there sexual immorality and a few other big sins. Basiclly if you take the ten commandment then they broke about everyone of them...Lot also was not a messanger he was the cousin or nephew or something related to Abraham. The messangers were the angels and their only purpose there was to get Lot, his dauters, their husbands and Lot's wife out of the city...
I'm also with BASHA with a that made little to no sence about killertron upove me. I hear that God sayed that a marragie should be between a man and a woman maybe thats symbolism I hear theres a lot of that in the bible. Maybe that symbolizes that a couple that loves each other very much? I don't know but I don't if your god loves you so much he would doom you for a chemical urge that you can't control. Call me Crazy but it just dosen't seem to much in character for him...

The prohibition is on "men lying with men as with women". So, apparently anal is only bad if it's with another guy, but with a girl is fine. If you google "will of god" the first two sites... well, explore this. There's also no prohibition against lesbian sex. So really, homosexuality is not forbidden. Just anal sex between two men.
I remember the deal with Sodom and Gomorrah being that God wanted to destroy the city for wickedness (which isn't really specified IIRC) and one of the prophets convinced got to spare the city if 10 holy men could be found. Lot was the only one found, so the cities got the divine nuking (What is it with God killing off anyone he doesn't like? Dude's a bit of a psychopath as the bible presents him).
Really, there are Christian denominations that are fine with homosexuality (The Episcopals have a gay bishop for crying out loud) and there are denominations that are not fine with homosexuality. Until the Christians can decide on what it means to be Christian, there's not much to say on the matter, other than they might as well allow people to be who they are.
I'm not going to read the entire article. But I can assume it's the basic "I thought I was gay, but then I was saved, I struggled, but now I'm straight" article. I've seen many testimonies of the "ex-gay" movement. It's all the same.
Most of the people who join the "ex-gay" movement end up going back to being gay. In fact, one of the founders of the movement was found in a gay bar flirting around (I can't remember the guy's name). There is no therapy to turn someone straight. It's impossible to change biology.
The only way to change a gay mans biology is by adding a bit of fuel and a flame. Homos are one of the weirdest deformations of human kind. They are like backwards man, it makes no sense in nature for something to be gay. Only god has the answer and the solution, all we can do now is burn as many as we can.

@crunk88, for one thing this is for flaming people, also people that ridicule the gays so much, just for being gay are actuly the weird "backwards" people, its cruel that you try to flame and hurt gays, and also about the bi people being worse, wtf? so because they like a little bit of both worlds means he cant enjoy it?
BASHA is actually right. For years i had a family member that was always offended and afraid of gay men. It turned out 3 years later he was gay... s i actaully have to agree on that one BASHA.
