Ok so here it is will the world end or is it just a bunch of junk written by some old Aztecs. I do not think it will end but I would like other peoples input. This is a friendly place to post your statement no religious battles or anything like that. Thank you.
I don't think that a not-as-technological civilization could predict the end of the world
They didn't predict anything. They made a calendar that is very similar to ours, but much longer. It repeats. It has repeated many times since its creation. It repeats every 395 years or so. The 2012 thing is caused by misinterpretation of the cycle. Dec 21 2012 will just be cycle 13 ending and 14 begining. "OMG! My wall calendar ends at Dec 31st this year! Therefore, the world will end!"
Honestly, in my opinion there is no end of the world. Does anyone actually believe there is some pre-set date for the end of the world? And even if humans come to an end the planet will keep on going, along with the rest of the galaxy and so on. Our existence, and when it ends does not define the END of EVERYTHING else.
Personally, I think the reason for all these 'Natural Disasters' happening everywhere and so much more frequently in the past few years (or perhaps it's been forced in our face a lot more for the sake of selling news and tabloids, which is why it seems more frequent) is just a way of the planet saying "HEY! You guys are f*cking me up, you multiply like vermin, and I need to get rid of some of you!" Think of it as a...cleansing process of sorts.
That's just my two cents on the matter. I honestly believe this whole 'End of the World' business is total BS. Believe what you want, that's the great thing about life, doesn't matter what you think cause life is just gonna keep moving right along, it's what you do that actually makes a difference.

The Earth does have an approximate end date; when the Sun implodes. The Earth won't go on forever; our species now that's a different issue.

The sun will go red giant, expanding and engulfing earth.
The estimated date until collision is April 13 2029 or April 13 2036
I hope they invent something to prevent this going to happen... I don't want to die yet! I'm still young ya know?!?!
It has a very, very, very, very, very small chance of collision, it wont collide in 2029, but if it passes through a gravitational keyhole, it will be set for collision in 2036 unless we stop it. Besides, anywhere within Maine-California length around where it hits will be flattened. Lets hope it lands in Siberia or some other unpopulated place.

For supernova to occur the star has to go through multiple neons. Our sun is somewhat middle-aged and it will take a few thousand generations until it goes supernova

No, Sol is wayyyy to small to go supernovae. If Sol could go supernova then there would be no life since plenty of other Sun-Sized stars would and that would kill all life on planets.
You need a star 8 times the mass of our sun (around 8 times) to go Novae.
You do know Sol will increase as it gets older... Like I said, a few thousand generations of people, and it probably will grow large enough
The first part matches what I've read, that when getting older the sun grows before it collapses again, and I don't rememebr how big it might grow but earth will definitely be engulfed by the sun. But is it enough to make a supernova? Or, put in another way, is the supernova part of the 'regular' star aging cycle, or would that, as I remember it, only consist of growing and collapsing to a brown dwarf?
