Ok so here it is will the world end or is it just a bunch of junk written by some old Aztecs. I do not think it will end but I would like other peoples input. This is a friendly place to post your statement no religious battles or anything like that. Thank you.
what im saying with the melt of the polar ice caps that makes more water and mor water + heat make BAD weather... and that continues... PLUS with the fall of the polar bare the artic eco system would fall out of wack and spread throuht the world...
and what's your point? There were several ice ages and there's still life on earth. Why should it be different this time?
and through these time the ENTIRE eco system has change and with that the living creatures... the earth will be here but i dont think we will... like i said not in 2012 butsooa after
I think 2012 is fake, people say the Myans predicted it, I say they relized writing a calander that goes on foreve dosen't work, even with all our technology we won't produce a calender that goes on forever.
Every calender has an end, and if the world ended every time a calender did, then the world would have been destroyed every Dec. 31
Their calendar has already ended/reset many times. The b'ak'tun (1 full rotation of their calendar) is a time frame of 394.52 solar years (144,000 days). 2012 is round 13 ending and round 14 begining.
i just saw show about nostradamoos it was amazing he and lots of ancient cultures sed 2012 its gonna happen something bad and i think its end of world but come on the world will end in 1 year thats just a little redicules !!

not trying to start some fight but still, and i wouldnt be suprised if this has been said, it was the mayans who said that. and no i think the movie 2012 was either a movie to show us what could happen if we dont make some kind of improvement to our environment, like planting trees, or just some guy trying to fool people into thinking this and making a huge profit

No they didn't. They never predicted the end of the world. I'll quote a post from the previous page (seriously, you could've looked at the last page at least!):

Nasa has no Scientific Evidence to support any theory of spaceborne extermination. We all know what happened on May 21st, and the fact this theory emerged only from some idiot who thought that just because the Mayan Calander "ended" means that the world would end as well. In truth, the Mayan Calander is just like our Roman calander, it cycles infinately like ours. It's not that the Mayans knew that date would end the world, but more that the cycle for that calander period had ended and that they simply did not record the next period in any written way.
