In this thread I will be posting a new movie every Sunday. Before posting in this thread, I advise you to watch the movie. If you've already watched the move in the past, feel free to talk about it. We will talk about the movie. May it be about the storyline, the characters, the actors, etc.. You may also post your critique of the movie here.
For each movie I'll be posting a link to IMDb where you'll get a small description of the movie. I'll also be posting my own little description and critique of the movie.
As for the movies, they will be random. By that, I mean there is no certain genre I will stick with and these movies will be new and old.
I'll take recommendations for movies, but not in this thread. Leave a comment on my profile if you would like to recommend a movie.
Matt Damon usually does an excellent job in the movies he is in. It does have a lot of twists, which makes it good, you don't know what's going to happen next in the movie.
Collateral is about a hit man who takes an L.A. cab driver hostage and forces him to convey him around town while he dispatches his five targets. However, the unwilling chauffeur becomes increasingly hesitant after he discovers the identity of his fare's final victim. There's a lot of action in the movie, and the plot is well made. Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx did an excellent job in this movie.
Law Abiding Citizen is about a man who has lost his family then one day gets revenge on the people who did it. One night he's at home with his wife and daughter, then two people ambush him, tie him and his family up, then murder them in-front of him. After ten years, he decides to seek revenge on the person who did it that was still out of jail. The accomplice of this man that was out of jail was on death row, he was going to die due to lethal injection, however, the man somehow got into the jail and switched the injection with something else, the accomplice ended up receiving a lot of pain through it. He ends up going to jail, but many people that were involved in the case about his family being murdered start dying one by one. It turns out the man has an underground passageway to navigate around the city. I like the movie, it's interesting to see what the man does for revenge. It has an amazing plot. Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx did a marvelous job in this movie.
Law abiding citizen is one of my favorite movies of all time. The entire plot was amazing and genius. The only part of the plot that let me down is the way he got out to commit the crimes wasn't genius, he was just walking out of prison through a secret tunnel. I would have thought he'd be monitored in there. Getting himself to get put into the cell was awesome though.

Mine too, I can re-watch this movie a lot.

Well, I thought how he got out was pretty smart. He orchestrated everything. He waited those ten years because he had to set everything up and plan it all. It was a great plan, the ending disappointed me. I didn't expect him to die.
I would have thought he'd be monitored in there.
I didn't really think he'd be monitored, I mean, they do have all those other prisoners in there and you can't monitor one person all the time.
Getting himself to get put into the cell was awesome though.
The ending was amazing in my opinion. The lawyer secretly made him decide his own fate.
He did, but I didn't expect them to put the bomb under his bed and lock him in there. And after that, the lawyer was seen at his daughter's recital. I would've expected him to go to jail for that since he killed the man, he put the bomb there.
But he is in the extra security cell, i'd expect a security camera or a guard to watch him.
Well, he is in an extra security cell, where it's not possible to escape unless you spent time creating underground tunnels for years. It's not really necessary to have those things there.

I never really thought of that, but maybe there's no way to find out he did it.
