In this thread I will be posting a new movie every Sunday. Before posting in this thread, I advise you to watch the movie. If you've already watched the move in the past, feel free to talk about it. We will talk about the movie. May it be about the storyline, the characters, the actors, etc.. You may also post your critique of the movie here.
For each movie I'll be posting a link to IMDb where you'll get a small description of the movie. I'll also be posting my own little description and critique of the movie.
As for the movies, they will be random. By that, I mean there is no certain genre I will stick with and these movies will be new and old.
I'll take recommendations for movies, but not in this thread. Leave a comment on my profile if you would like to recommend a movie.
The only one of the Bourne series i have seen, was The Bourne Ultimatum, which i saw back in 2007. I remember enjoying it, but don't remember any details.
I just re-watched the movie and I got to thinking, it would be wonderful to be able to have his abilities. He can memorize so many things and he's a great fighter.
The Bourne movies are some of the only movies I've been able to sit through, usually i just cant stand being there that long but those ones entertain me. And coman he kicks someones *** with a newspaper in one scene in one of the movies. Thats just awesome :P
The ending kind of confused me, though. Were they at a relationship counselor or something?
Yeah they were. That's how the movie started which was a good way of leading into a story you didn't expect. A marriage therapy session for a start to me hints at a normal rom com.
The Bourne identity: Talk about a great movie. Matt Damon absorbs his role amazing. One of his greatest (if not best) roles i've witnessed him play. The plot is creative and the movie is developed as a trilogy amazingly. The play on the title of this movie makes the story line even greater as he is born into a new identity. I love it. The action is intense and fits well into the plot. The progression of his journey throughout all three movies works well with the Bourne identity as a great introduction. Never gets old.
Bourne Identity was by far one of the best action movies I've ever seen, the slight element of psychological thriller is amazing. I enjoyed quite a bit when I first watched it, although I was much younger, perhaps I'll watch it again to get a better grasp of the plot.
However I must admit, I enjoyed the book far more, but the difference between the the book and the movie makes it some much easier to like both without constantly thinking of the idiotic changes.
Brooklyn's Finest is interesting. Three desperate cops in a dangerous Brooklyn district find their lives intertwining as they each debate how far they are willing to compromise their duty to achieve their personal needs. It's sort of like Crash, if you've seen that.
Brooklyns finest was a great watch. After reading the description i didn't think i'd be into it as much as i was. The main characters being so different and coming together was a great way to start the plot.
Richard Gere played an excellent role alongside Ethan Hawke (Who i love). I haven't seen much of Don Cheadle that i can recall (Except hotel Rwanda and Oceans), although i personally think he was better in this movie than in crash. The cast also included Wesley Snipes who is one amazing actor.
Great story line, great acting, great ending. Guess what? Great movie !
Actually read the thread before posting, by your two posts right there you didn't read anything. The current movie of the week is posted on this page, it's Brooklyn's Finest.

Yes! I really enjoy the movies that have a whole bunch of great actors. Such as Crash, but I like this one more because of all the action and drama.
Inside man is a magnificent movie. A determined cop attempts to defuse a robbery that erupts into an intense hostage situation and discovers the real reasons behind the heist, and a power broker complicates the situation when she tries to recover an item from the bank.
A desperate single mother hires a graduate of Butler School to take care of her kids, not knowing he's a bumbling, accident-prone pushover who alphabetically finds employment using the phonebook when deciding on a new career.
