In this thread I will be posting a new movie every Sunday. Before posting in this thread, I advise you to watch the movie. If you've already watched the move in the past, feel free to talk about it. We will talk about the movie. May it be about the storyline, the characters, the actors, etc.. You may also post your critique of the movie here.
For each movie I'll be posting a link to IMDb where you'll get a small description of the movie. I'll also be posting my own little description and critique of the movie.
As for the movies, they will be random. By that, I mean there is no certain genre I will stick with and these movies will be new and old.
I'll take recommendations for movies, but not in this thread. Leave a comment on my profile if you would like to recommend a movie.
I've watched inside man a few times and i'll admit it's very good (Even with Clive Owens in it) Denzel Washington and Jodie Foster really make the movie for me.
As for Bob the Butler. i'd never actually watched this so thank you for your recommendation. Very funny indeed. I think Tom Green did a brilliant job !
I watched the first half of Inside Man... I didn't like it, due to the excessive amount of swearing and the feeling of unoriginality. Perhaps I should finish it...
Exactly! Not going to watch a movie that goes overboard on the swearing, and also seems like the plot is mashed up. Serious time waster IMO, but those are my views on the movie.
For my movie of the week I'd say Contagion, I'm a mark for apocalyptic movies.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is an interesting movie. A man born in the early 20th century ages backwards, starting as an elderly man and growing younger, and connecting at various times with a normal young woman as they experience the tragedies and triumphs of the passing decades.
i've watched it. it's funny sad and cool. i think it would be nice to age backwards sometimes. although it would be sad to die as a baby. you choose good movies!
I thought that it was a good movie. I haven't watched it in a while and I'd really like to watch it again.
It was mostly serious, which was good. I like serious movies, because all comedy and un-seriousness seems rather superficial. However, too many serious parts makes a movie boring, and I remember some funny parts, too.
It's a little more than two and a half hours long, which is pretty long for a movie. But there are other movies around that length, and some had to be split up into two versions, which is good for business. Plus, the movies are more enjoyable because they have more detail.
I think that Benjamin Button should have been split up into two movies. I don't think they had done that before 2010, but it was a possibility. Then I think the movie would be better.
However, I am sure that wishing for what it could be isn't a very good idea. I think that the movie is very good the way it is. It is a very interesting movie on a very interesting idea.
The movie made me shed a tear from the message it gave me. Also I agree it should've been split up into two movies with more detail about his life; that would've made it better, though it still is a good movie.
Inception intrigues me. In a world where technological advancements have made it possible to enter a person's dreams, one man works as a thief, stealing closely guarded secrets while the individuals are asleep, but one last job presents a chance for redemption.
