NKSOF would have their guns, as well. They're probably trained to do martial arts while carrying their weapon. And the Rangers hand-to-hand combat method has things of what to do if someone grabs your gun. Their method of combat is all about "getting back to your tools" as one of the experts said. A real soldier for any army wouldn't put down their gun to do h-to-h like that one did in the crappy-acting battle simulation.

A real human head wouldn't have been blown off by that since neither of the shock patches were tripped. And unless there's a hospital nearby, it's not going to matter since he's bleeding out of his thigh, he'll be dead anyway. The Claymore is meant to injure the entire body from a long distance, which is why little metal balls are put in the front. With a wooden box, you're not going to have as deadly of shrapnel, either.

another thing that i noticed that could be considered biased was the x factor for hand to hand combat because in the tests they called it a draw, but when they gave out the x factors they gave the rangers an 89-81 advantage.

Yeah, I raised my eyebrows when I heard that.

But for the battle between Ghengis Khan and Hannibal, I think I'm going to go with Ghengis Khan since he had created one of the world's largest empires and Hannibal didn't was beaten and was pretty much never heard from again.

Hopefully this new ex Navy SEAL won't turn the show into a history lesson like what he did with the first two matches. I also hope that ex green berret comes out of his little corner and actually watches the weapons testing. Those two guys make the show almost unwatchable. If it weren't for people destroying Gel Torsos, I would've left this show after George Washington vs. Napolean.

yeah well when they do the "history lesson" theyre not onlt telling us about the battles that made them great, but dissecting their battle tactics, because that is something that is actually taken into account this season, but it could be better if they just said "so and so's battle tactics are like this..." and just explained them instead of going deep into context about it. this way, itll save more time to possible test a 4th weapon for each warrior

I love how much the guys avoid the questions in the Aftermath...

Wrong... It's a show they do after an episode where they take questions and discuss the battle.

Me and my brother were watching Deadliest Warrior the other day, and saw the U.S. Army Rangers go head to head with the North Korean Special Ops Unit. It was pretty cool, but a little nerve racking that it was so close.

All the Aftermath does for me is makes me angry. I don't know why I watch that show if my blood level spikes each time I view it.

It's really just that guy that makes it sound like a history lesson. He sounds like a commentator for the History Channel. If they got anyone else to do that bit, it wouldn't sound like a history lesson.

I just all-around hate that guy. What sealed the deal for my hatred towards him was in the episode for Joan of Ark vs. William the Conqueror. When that lady expert tested Joan's armor and started hacking away at pigs, I was thinking "Hm, cutting pigs. About time this show got back to where it used to be." But that didn't last long when he asked "How did it feel using Joan's armor?" What? Since when does that matter? Since when do we care about how 'her armor felt'?

It's going to be this guy that drives me away from the show.

I dont think its going to be mack that drives me away from the show, i like what hes doing on the show, other than rambling with the experts about stuff. what was driving me away in seasons 1 and 2 was Max trying to make jokes that werent funny, he was just pissing me off, im glad mack came to replace him, i think he is an improvement to the show as a whole. and also, people are wondering why Dr. D is there, although the weapons do kill 9 times out of 10, that 1 time is doesnt they need to make sure they see it or else they put false information about the weapon into the combat engine, if you ask me, Dr. D is one of the more important people on the show.

just saw act 1 of Hannibal vs Genghis on the facebook page.

~SPOILER ALERT~ (if you dont want to know about the first 2 weapons tested, dont read the rest of this post)

The first matchup pitted Hannibal's War Elephant vs. Genghis Khan's Recurve Bow. First up was the Elephant, they brought in an elephant and had it step on a gel torso. Results, Instant Kill. Then they talked about the phsycological effects of seeing one of your comrads crushed by an elephant. then they tested the bow on what they believed was a good simulant for elephant skin. A layer of leather, then foam then 2 huge pieces of gel. All together about a foot of skin. the bow was tested against it and poved to punch through it, but only about 1 inch out the back, not enough to hit vital structures in the elephant. in the end, edge: Hannibal. Tune in wednesday for the full episode.
