I was listening to the radio this morning and heard that this group of "hackivists" is going to take down facebook on November 5th. This date is exactly the same as when Guy Fawkes tried to blow up parliament (failed) and the "big day" in V for Vendetta (succeeded). They're doing this because Facebook is allegedly selling information to governments. Article On This
And btw in the past when Internet didn't excist policeman had respect for a bank robber who got in and out undetected and without the police having proof he did it.
Well, maybe you've heard of one such policeman, but you definitely can't say that as a general rule.
Social Networking sites, especially Facebook, have a huge amount of access to the private information of millions of people, and to me Anonymous is just showing them that users and outside organizations can have access to Facebook's private information.
You respect someone trying to FORCE people to do what they think is right? People know what they are signing up for when they join facebook, and if they don't its their own stupid fault, we don't need idiots such as these to nanny us, let people make their own god **** mistakes and stop trying to big-brother everyone like some omnipotent fascist regime, they are total cretins that need to go away and get lives instead of trying to police other peoples.
