I don't see how IE would win that; Firefox is more organized. On IE the things are scattered around the screen, and that takes up space on webpages, while on Firefox it's similar to Google Chrome's tab design.
But yeah, I prefer FF because of everything Joe mentioned. It's one of the best browsers out there. For me Google Chrome comes in second, Opera in third, and IE in fourth, just saying.
I agree completely Google Chrome is the best web browser. If you don't have it I really recommend getting it. It is very clean and doesn't have much to start with, but the extensions are what makes it great. An example is the RRS subscription feed thing and a favorites button those things don't come with it. You can also get more advanced extensions like PanicButton and Facebook Rehab. And the apps tp it off. So GC is the best but between the two I like Firefox.
The main difference between Firefox, Chrome, and Opera is the extensions, customization, design, and security. The speed doesn't matter since they are all almost the same in that factor. Firefox has more extensions, is more customizable, the design is similar to that of Chrome and Opera, but you can change it around and you have many more themes/personas, and the security is better since you can make it to how you like it. Such as telling sites not to track you, and it detects things better. IE isn't that good of a web browser because it lacks extensions, customization, the design is simple, but you can't really fix it to your liking, and there are many security holes with it, thus resulting in you probably getting viruses while using it. But in the end, it doesn't matter which one you use if you choose Firefox, Chrome, or Opera, since they are all similar. However, if you like more extensions, customization, and a little more security, then Firefox is the way to go. If you don't care for that and just use it to get to a few websites, then the other two are wonderful.
I've had HUGE problems when I used IE on my Vista computer, it stalled every 20 minutes, sometimes even more... >:@
But then I switched to FireFox and the stalling was reduced to once every 3 weeks, which is GREAT! =D
I mean... of course it's still annoying... but the fact that I have Vista (and no money for the newer windows version) is the cause of that problem and therefor FF rules! =)
I think Google Chrome kills both of them. Instant Google search in he browser bar and it let's you go to your most visited sites without even typing in the we'd address and it hasn't stalled on me once in a few months.
