I really don't get how people think that China will take over the world... It's mostly Americans that think it which is the weird thing because the US has a higher GDP than any other Country in the world. The US still has a bigger military surprisingly even with China having 1.3 billion people and the us having 370 million. I personally think that a country lacking enough food too feed its own people won't take over, but I want too hear your guys's opinions on it.
because they already own and make all the products in the world
They don't make everything, but most of the things we use everyday are made by them. That doesn't mean that they will take over the world though, you just have to calm down and worry about things that make sense to worry about. If China somehow did take over the world, you yourself can't do anything about it. And as for owning everything, the majority of the stuff they make is shipped out to the US, so technically they don't own the stuff they send once we have bought it.
People are just afraid. I think there is more fear regarding the fact that America is equalizing towards other countries [Not really, We're 14B to China's 5]. The fear is placed in the idea that Europe is coming together and doing a little better than us, and the Chinese used to be starving farmers 30 years back and are now growing; to us, they look like the new face of anti-Americanism. I don't think China will take over the world, nor do I think it can.
I agree with jefferyinspiration, the recession helped China a lot. A few years before then we had good support for American manufacturing to come back, but with the recession, it seemed like a lost cause. Take walmart as an example: Throughout the entire recession, they had continuous and steady growth, no problems whatsoever.
If China is hit/attacked, chances are they will still keep manufacturing, and whats worse, is that most nations will not be able to fill any gap made by a China Vs. Someone war. So China will just be our producer and we will be there consumer. No takeovers.
The only real problem I see is if China and the West get into fights over an unrelated cause, IE: African/Asian conflicts.
Either way, I don't think America is going to be invaded anytime soon.
If anything, China won't invade the United States in terms of military takeover. How they will do it, is purely by accident and it'll happen the way the US economy is going regardless. And the way they'll do it, is economically. As stated above, they will become the producer to the consumer.
And in America and most of the Western world, the economy controls your nation, media and in final, the population of said nation.
Why do people think China will take over the world?
Reasons:
1. They are smart as fck... 2. ^If they are smart, then they can make good weapons and stuff.. 3. They have biggest army, and population... 4. loljk...Vatican will take over the world <.< ijs..
They actually could have done this hundreds of years ago. China had built the largest navy ever, and decided to explore the world. After looking around, they saw that they had already invented everything everyone else had, saw there was nothing to really see in the world, so they thought, why conquer it?. So the tore down the boats and made it illegal for international exploration.

Wiki From 1405 to 1433 large fleets commanded by Admiral Zheng He under the auspices of the Yongle Emperor of the Ming Dynasty traveled to the Western Ocean (the Chinese name for the Indian Ocean) seven times. This attempt did not lead China to global expansion, as the Confucian bureaucracy under next emperor reversed this whole policy and by 1500, it became a capital offence to build a seagoing junk with more than two masts.
China is growing largely in production and their economy is rising, I feel sorry for all the farmers in the country side because they are building large apartment blocks in the agricultural regions.
I guess China could do this. But the rest of the world won't step back and adopt Chinese. They'll lose hundreds of thousands of men, and their weapons aren't nearly as advanced as, say, Heckler und Koch's guns. And power never stays on top long. China, if they do take over, will fall down again about 50 years later, as one rebel or another drives them back.
