If you could become God what would you change in the world, I would try and make the president make a law where if you pollute you had to go to jail for like 2 years. Also make Mars completely livable so we wont have an over population on Earth.
I'm not going to lie, those where terrible examples, and you don't need to be a god to do it. If i was a god, i would eliminate negative side effects. There would only be positive side effects to pretty much any situation i could think of..
If I were a god, I would make the entire world a single country broken up into regions, then states, etc. so that we all lived under the same laws and rules.

Anyways, if I was him/her/it, I'd probably prove that I do exist to eliminate all these fights over which religion is the right one, then remove all the Bibles so people wouldn't live their lives based on what it said, then tell people that they're ready to think for themselves and solve their own problems, and then go chillax on a beach, only to intervene in case of these real emergencies (like, big ones). Okay, I joked about the chillax part, I'd probably focus on the planet as a whole.
People don't need a god, so why should such a being bother to help with every problem humans have? I'm sure it'd be much more important for a god to take care of the world as a whole than to care about the pointless conflicts of a species which hasn't been around for long anyways, if one did exist.

If I was God, I would probably create a sentient plant species that would lower the CO2 levels to the point that the earth cools down a little. I would have to make sure that neither humans, nor the plant people would go to war though, any ideas?

How about we start off with fixing the universe to fit the needs of it's inhabitants. None of this "Dark freezing void" stuff, making instead lush fields in an endless pile of land, with every species being tended to for their needs. The virus and bacterium no longer infect other beings, instead living off of specially made bi-oms that are not living. Then fixing the glitches in every creature structure, making it so, for example, human's backs no longer give out with old age, recreate every race as peaceful rather than bloodthirsty, and then tend to their every whim like the parent a god should be. How about that for starters?

We as a scociety rely too much on religion. There are so many things we could do but are to busy worrying about petty things like religion, greed, and other things of the sort.
I would prevent serious natural disasters. I wouldn't hide my existence. If I were to write or have transcribed a holy text I wouldn't do it through vague fairytales but through facts and just so everyone knows it's the one divine truth the book could be read and clearly understood by anybody of any language, regardless. No need for a human to translate it into another language or anything. I also wouldn't be so sloppy with my designing.

I wouldn't erase war, greed or emotional pain, but I would put a option to kill him/herself in case the subject's life would not be satisfying, and without the pain part. There would be an after-life fair where you could do whatever you wish or reset your life. Btw, other then the suicide option, the only way to die would be from injuries (but you wouldn't feel any physical pain).
Hmm... but pain, any kind of pain, is necessary in the human life. Creation generally stems from some kind of pain or another, and so a removal of that would especially unbalance many forms of art.
If I were God, probably the only thing I would change is for people to truly know what they want, so at least people would give themselves a purpose that suited their desires.

The "concept" of pain would still be known. Just because physical pain does not exist doesn't mean that it can not exist in your immagination.
