None, because most religions contradict much of the evidence that tells us how the world around us works, while providing no evidence of their own.
In other words, I personally fail to see any logical reason to believe, and I don't see any evidence supporting any of these religions, and I'm not willing to just take someone else's word for it, especially when there are so many religions out there preaching completely different things.
Evidence, good arguments or good reasons to believe in general. I just think religions are a bit too unrealistic and illogical, and though I can accept that some people believe despite this, I just can't make myself believe something that I personally think sounds kinda dumb (no offence meant).
It's not that I don't want to believe, I think life would have been so much more awesome and interesting if you actually believed in supernatural stuff, but my brain just goes "LOL, u mad bro?!" if I try to pretend I do. Don't blame me, blame him. Stupid brain.
So far, an abrahamic religion is the most popular, but as a specific one I would stay a member of the LDS faith. I'd stay it because it provides a little more information than "because jesus loved us". not enough to go up against atheism, but religionwise, enough for me.
Our minds just create and invent a god because we as humans all want to be happy, our God that we have created guides us on the journey through life. There are lots of arguments whether god exists but every conclusion you come to, there is a problem with it.
if we didn't need to eat, would we be hungry? similarly, if there wasn't a God, why would we invent one?
Humans have always been curious, and wanted to understand the world around us. Sometimes there were things we could not explain, and that's how I believe the beliefs in gods, magic, mythological creatures and all that appeared.
NOT EVERYONE THING IS ABOUT THAT. SERIOUSLY, NOT EVERYTHING HAS A LOGICAL EXPLANATION!!!
Depends on your definition of logical. Was it logical that you used caps lock? No. Did the action go against what we know about how the world works or was it in any way supernatural? No.
See, things don't always have to make sense, but the explanation is always at least realistic.
Take the Bible for example. What we know about the world is that energy cannot simply appear out of nowhere, or disappear without a trace, it has to be converted. Now, the Bible pretty much says God can create anything out of nothing, which contradicts the previous statement, therefore, according to the evidence, this can not happen. Now, I can't speak for all of us, but the way I see it, things that cannot happen, don't happen.
I'm not trying to start a discussion about what religion is the best one, since this thread is about what we believe in, and everyone has the right to their own opinion. I didn't mean to imply that Christianity was any worse or better than other religions, the reason why I chose the Bible for the example is because it's the religious text I know the best.
