Just like the title says, What do you look for in a video game, plz give a reason why you look for this element and dont do "cause it makes it fun", do WHY it makes it more fun for you.
I always look for how well the game maches the description and really stupidly i look for how the characters respond differently to how they are meant to!!
Mostly things that resemble Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Batman: Arkham City, and Heavy Rain. Sort of a free world feel with AC and B:AC, stealth missions with a deep plot with Splinter Cell, and Heavy Rain because it's crime/mystery and just overall great to me.
I look for a fps game with ranks and money, and of course and online and offline mode, and has a decent framerate, 70+? i never get to play games over 70 fps though lols, im stuck at 10 or less!
that doesnt mean fun, graphics, or anything like that... it means i enjoy playing games that stay fun for a while, that i can play multiplayer just because i can talk to people and my friends... i like to play competitivly, and i enjoy games that just overall arent frustrating, but still fun... COD works well for me.
My list from most important to least important. 1. Customization- At least you can thoroughly edit your character. 2.1. Plot - A very moving and dramatic plot. Something believable to happen in the game's universe. 2.2 Setting - The game's universe itself should be rich in history, and the game should be able to render as much of the scenery you're playing in as possible, to make the gamer believe that he/she is really IN that game. 3. Good Quality Characters Playable or not - Their Voice and Characterization should be convincing. 4. Good Choice of Music - A good music can manipulate the player's emotions and make every scene of the game meaningful. 5. Endings - Multi-Ended as much as possible.
My example of a perfect game[in my opinion]: MASS EFFECT [1&2]
Well, for sandboxes, large area, lots of stuff to mess around with, and just plain fun. For shooters, good campaign, good multiplayer, no overpowered guns, and realistic scenarios. I mean, are you really going to be fighting in an abandoned toy factory to destroy this company that fired you? I say nay nay.
