K, so, this is a general discussion where people share tips about surviving the Zombie Apocalypse. The only requirements here are to remember how far the nearest weapon/grocery store is, or how populated the place you live in is. The larger the spot, the more the zombies. So, you can discuss your basic plan about how to survive, but first, ask yourself some questions, like: 1: What kind of resources do I have? 2: What kind of weapons are available to me now? 2: Where will I go? Tell about what your main weapon would be (it doesn't have to be a gun), or where you'll go, or if you can improvise. My main weapons would have to be a shotgun (easy handling, can take out numerous zombies in one shot) or a rifle, and my melee weapon would be a crowbar or an axe, and secondary would be a kitchen or jack knife.
well, i would travel to a safe place with enough water and food for a week. i would go through the forest because the streets are either full or the citiys and towns are swarmed by zeds and that means there are at least few zeds in the forest so it would be safer to travel through them. i know how to make arrows, i learned how to use a bow and if some zeds would arrive i would climb (im fast and very good at climbing) on a tree. if i need arrows and i have not any more i make them out of branches with my army knife. you dont need feathers for arrows, well i can shoot arrows even if they have no feathers. i would live in the forests. i know how to make a fishing road and how to hunt animals. i know how to make a fire and how to disembowel an animal, i even know how to cook the flesh on the fire. water wouldnt be a problem, i would drink from rivers, i would gather rain or, if i must, i would drink the blood from the animals i hunted. i would eat nuts and if i cant find them then i would eat insects (they are tasty if you are hungry). even if you have enough water and food, you can die in a forest if you have not enough fat (to prevent that you must eat either nuts or insects).
yeah, your right. i will die in a zombie apocalypse even if my plan is better than the most plans in this thread.
^sarcasm, da da da da da, im lovin it.
these links were for others so they know what they should not do, nuff said.
to be on topic:
1. use silent weapons (knifes, bows and arrows...)
2. get enough water and food for a week
3. travel with your feet or with your bicycle
4. do not stand to long at the same place, zombies are wandering and searching for food, too
5. travel, if necessary, in a small group, but check them for bites, maybe they turn later to zombies and eat you
6. be carefull and try to get a first-aid box (i have one at my home and i know how to give first aid)
7. get a guide about surviving in the wild (fire making, hunting/fishing...) and study it

Decent.
But what about raiders? Hoards? Forest fires? Crazy animals?
Wont the fire attract all sorta little buggers? Dogs have keen smell, and they will probably smell your fire. Humans will learn to follow the animals. You wont be the only one in the woods, I can tell you that.
Sooner or later, you are going to encounter raiders who will fight to the death for your food, water, and supplies.

well, i will not stay at the same places for too long, i will wander around and only sleep in a tree. if i hear something strange i wake up (i dont need much sleep) and i have never said i make or use a fire. i would cook in the dark because then they cant see the smoke. and besides the cooking part i can just eat plants, nuts and bugs/spiders to survive.

@xAyjAy I already read that book a few months ago. I will now say a bunch of things I remember from the book in a very unorganized form:
According to the book the best melee weapons would be a crowbar or katana. Flamethrowers are good, but it takes a long time to kill the zombies, so if that's your only weapon you're screwed. Bows are out because you would need amazing accuracy to actually destroy the brain. People with fencing swords are also screwed if they don't have another weapon. Hand-to-hand combat should be avoided. Living in the ocean in a boat is also dangerous because zombies can float to your boat and kill you while you're sleeping, especially if you're alone. They don't feel fear, so waving a torch in their face won't do anything to slow them down. Sleep on the rooftops. Motorcycles and bikes are good for transportation, but don't get arrogant and try tricks. If you do that, eventually your screwed, and the zombies wouldn't be the reason. Buses aren't the best transportation, but they can be used as a mobile base. Poison is useless. Get regular practice at a shooting range before the invasion even starts. If a member of your group is bitten you still have time. It takes about a day for the zombification is complete.
If it gets to a Class 1 invasion we can probably kill them. Class 2 invasion it would be hard, but we could kill them. Class 3, we're screwed. Class 4, everything is screwed(Besides the zombies, of course).

and what and classifies them as class one, class two, class three and class four? can you please describe it?
Eh.... I don't really agree with that. Class one seems like we would definitely kill them. Class two, between probably and definitely. Class three, between maybe and probably.
The reason I say this is because your numbers would need to ne much bigger. Or your zombies would need to be the last stand 4 type of zombies. Because our government acts quick when infections start up. And I'm sure people would act quick too. You would need super zombies and still a good number of them. Because they have to beat armed civilians, police, and have a good amount of zombies before army comes. Let's not forget that we can also nuke the city as a last resort.
I love this topic and generally the idea of Zombie Apocalypse!!! It is scary but in the meanwhile it is also exciting!!! xD I wish i'll be a survivor!!!
Anyway.. If i assume that i start from my house , my first weapon would be a big knife with a flat surface so that it will not stuck on a zombie! Then i would immediately go to a weapon store in order to get a weapon (shotgun, rifle, pistol etc) (my town is in Greece named Kalamata and has 60000-70000 residents). I would also get enough ammo and then i would go to a grocery store and then search for survivors to create a group team! The continue is unkνown according to the circumstances!!!
Anyway that's what i had to say! Let's let the future decide about humanity's future!!!
