Many people online just slate people who are new to games as if they're terrible people. If you admit to being a noob you will get laughed at and insulted at. I told people I was proud of being a noob on an online game called stick arena and this guy just had a go at me for thinking it is ok to be one. Is this really how online gaming should be portrayed? As a place that is overly competitive where people who are bad will get insulted no stop being people who think they're really hardcore with their 3.94 KDs?
Noobs are like starters this topic is an easy question - Pros like to play with Pros but thats not really fair isint it? oh and Snipers are hated but i am best with the Sniper in every game its quite hard as they know your there or you miss!!
see this problem can be perceived as cyber bullying and the thing is most of these noob haters were subjected to the same treatment themselves so they build up an attitude of people used to do it to me now its my turn to be a freak and ridicule others
this kind of thing just doesnt end because of human nature to be the dominant one
I never had a true "Noob" phase. In Halo 3, you had to play a few matches of Slayer with other beginners before you could go into the big-boy playlists and play with the experienced guys. I took first in all five of my matches, and promptly continued my success for two more, until I faced my first loss.
Noobs are just a phase, not hated. I respect their desire to learn a new thing, and as a Game Connoisseur, I see it like this, mo' Gamerz, mo' opinions and ideaz, mo' betta' garmez.
i know what you mean cuz people call me a noob all the time but i dont think people should take it personnaly (i dont anyway) because after you get good at the game you can call other people noobs. lol but its true. (for me}
i'm a noob and i live with a 1:10 KD(COD MW3). most noobs however, take it very hard and blame the opposition for any deaths. "OMG HAXXOR NO-LIFE!" i have gotten better from half and hour a WEEK and nudges my KD to 1:4 which is really good for me... its not that we spend every second of spare time playing or that we hack the game... its that we know what we're doing... we've played long enough to know what we're good at...
Everyone is a noob at one point in a game. The meaning of "noob" is someone who is new to a game. Everyone starts off as a noob but if you play that game for longer you will not be new to it and will not be a "noob" anymore.
Is this really how online gaming should be portrayed? As a place that is overly competitive where people who are bad will get insulted no stop being people who think they're really hardcore with their 3.94 KDs?
Many people may just be doing it to make you mad, because the more anger the other players feel towards you + the game, the worse they usually play. Its a pretty dirty tactic though but it works with most players. Maybe that's why you were being picked on for it.
I used to be sympathetic to newer players online. Then I played Battlefield 3 and made the bad choice of not being a pilot.
If I had a dollar for every time the f***ing noob pilot flew into a wall, an enemy plane, the ground, or just jumped out I'd be a millionaire, I swear to God...
Here's a tip. Play by yourself or play the tutorial so you know what u r doing when play with/against other people so you won't be called a noob. Plain and simple.
I'm not one of those "noob haters" or "noob likers" i'm just trying to help people not to be called noobs and be discouraged from playing online.
