Necronator 2 Is a farcry from the original, where it's predecessor in gameplay and in feel. You controlled the undead and orc hordes you're now put into the Human race where you're fighting against the Orc, Undead and other Humans where everything is fine, albeit increasingly hard due to it's flawed system of levelling and points where you hit a brick wall where a hero is introduced.
When you're playing for the first time you'll notice that you WILL hit a brickwall on the fourth level where an enemy hero is introduced, not only this but no matter how much units you spam or strategy you implement the elven archers in the tavern spawn increasingly fast and are too hard to overcome even with all your army, they were holding off against the combined forces of me and the Orcs until their hero spawned in which it proceeded to kill everything.
You are required to jump through horrible objectives and obstacles limiting themselves to challenges on differing levels just to get points to attain new units, spells, and perks that'll help you on your way to completing the game, and if you decide to neglect this you'll end up hitting a brick wall because you haven't completed enough objectives earlier in the game, forcing you to backtrack and grind them, where a simple mess up will force you to restart the game, turning a simple fun strategy game into a horrible grind where one strategy must be implemented to attain an objective and thus advance furhter into the game.
Not only this but the game itself isn't even complete, The Human campaign is completed but all the others have been reserved for later which comes off as lazy.
Heroes themselves are too strong, i've sent wave of soldiers, archers and conscripts against a Tauren Chieftan of the Orcs on the fourth level only for him to one hit them all with his special ability forcing me to quit the game as i'm unable to do anything as I have no money and no units.
Another specific complaint about the Heroes is that even though the enemy is allowed one at such an early level you're not allowed one. Even then most Heroes end up being "remium" where you have to end up giving money just to obtain a good hero.
The experience points are too long and too boring for the troops, forcing people to rely on perks in an absolutely horrendous scheme.
TL;DR - This is a horrible game that is not even halfly finished.
the final stage in human campaign is really hard. but...you can train your armies first! and now I've passed this stage...but still i can't get passed of the second stage where is in the second campaign.
If you're at the 4th battle and playing it on hard you obviously will lose. I think Medium is doable but tricky. I've beaten it on easy which wasnt too hard. Some of the objective are pointless like getting ___ many gold in the game since that just means you have to delay killing them until you get that much gold. The levels stop at 3 so it doesnt take too long to max them out
i beat the hero in 4th battle by waiting for him by my castle.
So far i find the game very fun. It is difficult and requires to adapt the tactics and strategy for most levels but that is good. Also i find that playing the easy challenges first, then medium and then hard also helps.
the 4th boss is easy I got all the points on that stage, I always train and have my units fully upgraded, but I usually just spam the militia, the weakest one and use the blizzard spell to hold off any so I can get to the mercenaries, and while my men are still pushing up when they start dying I call in mercenaries and use blizzard and lightning on the boss and only a few mercenaries die, and I did this all in under 2 minutes got 1000 coins and under 2 minutes I think. What I really need for this game is a build or something, they have so many things you can allocate skill points and I don't really know what I am doing, but I am basically buying all the warrior type characters and upgrades, the tower ones are kinda useless.
I did pretty good until they popped out their Tauren Chieftan, and my soldiers got it down so far that I couldn't even see any red on it's healthbar, but it still helped destroy my base as I pumped out what I could. Maybe it was a luck thing? I don't know, but it wasn't fair all the same. I hope some things are balanced as it gets continually updated.
To the reply who just said "Use blizzard". Well, we don't all level up the same way and I've only earned like 6 or so upgrade points.
I just wish you at least got one shield for beating a level, to make upgrading easier. I dont like grinding the same levels to get shields because the next one is super hard
yah. you should just get a shield or two for completeing the level and then be able to get more by completeing the objectives. and the game is nothing like the first necrontor. if it didnt say necronator two i would never have connected the two games.
