Since this topic hasn't been popping up much, and since the old threads are all so cluttered up, I took the liberty of creating this new one.

So yes, someone asked me for sources about my claims that 1500 species of animals practice homosexual behaviour? Here.

Source 1

Source 2

Now on to one of the sub questions. Is it natural? Well, someone mentioned that it wasn't natural only for humans. Now, why this discrimination? If the Gods of various religions keep throwing and creating people who are homosexual, either a) They're bad factory operators or b) Something is fishy with whatever anti-gay talk religious conservatives swear is sacred.

now thebluerabbit the reason i said this subject is not good 4 little kids minds is because this subject talks about the reproductive organs of humans and if u have kids you dont want them 2 b saying vagina at school and getting thrown out that would not b very good now would it

So I suppose shielding them from reality is healthy? Vagina isn't a vulgarity, only sensitive prudish people think so.

That being said, no one under 13 is allowed to make an account on the site unless you want to be banned. And 13 is a good age to start talking about the birds and the bees.

And come to think of it, so far in this thread, I haven't encountered many people posting about reproductive organs, since the main arguments centre around morality, religion and acceptance, or just genetics.

I'm not even questioning your age, if you even read my post correctly.

so 4yr olds can acess this conversation correct

And their cognitive functions have developed to the level of reading such long words? Wow.

Why should I censor and limit myself just in case some young kid stumbles upon the site because his parents don't monitor him well? I have a right to speech on this site, and the site rules let me assume that on the whole I'm speaking to 13 year olds.

I didn't ''choose this subject''. I merely found a previous discussion that was intriguing, but extremely old, so I restarted it. Why? It interests me, and I cannot stand how some people discriminate homosexuals based on religion or culture alone, hence my desire to understand them. Plus, it's a worldwide issue, so it's good to know unless one wants to be a narrow minded fool in the modern world.

Nor have I even restated anything.

ok than im gonna act like im talkin 2 13yr olds

Bladerunner never questioned me on that.

I don't defend a subject. In fact, many of my post towards you are just clarifying your prudish behaviour, correcting your misreadings of my posts and nothing to do with homosexuality.

And just in case anyone is wondering, no I'm not a homosexual.

You must have mixed him up, because I checked the first ten pages, and he didn't post other than the first page.

That aside, two pieces of news on the homosexual front, pun not intended.

Washington State has recently passed a bill legalising same-sex marriage. Time for the champagne!

And more news, this one stinks of hilarity. A pastor is calling for a boycott of Starbucks because the company supports same-sex marriage.

It may be funny but on the other way, it freezes me to think that such people are actually in positions to dictate such things to their acolytes, and they follow. May they be 80 or 12 percent, it doesn't change much.

Agreed. But it does seem petty to me, to stop buying a brand of coffee, because they think differently than you. So much for liberal America.

talking about homosexuality has pretty much nothing to do with actual sex and organs. its about sexuality and talking about that is as "bad" as showing on tv a princess who marries a prince.

i honestly cant understand why you think children should be protected from something that doesnt even take away alittle bit of their innocence. i think that if people would actually talk freely about that in an early age the children will grow an open mind and wont judge people based on stupid jokes they hear on school.

lol reminds me that today my brother asked my mother what "Gay" means XD

there is one person who chose this subject and why shouldnt he? its not something bad and it definitely helps people understand something that is very misunderstood by most people. i think this thread opened a few minds and even though i doubt anyone here changed his mind he actually noticed that every "logical" argument he gave us was countered. i mean, what are you trying to get to? lets just delete the whole wepr section then?

and if your interested why i am so passionate about this subject its because i suffered only alittle bit of what most of them have to suffer and i couldnt take the pain. in my opinion any person who can say that if he knew his child/friend was gay he would not accept him as his friend/child anymore is a person who isnt worthy to have any kind of relationship with any kind of person. and i think that a parent who wont accept his child because he is gay is as bad as my father who ALMOST hated me because im underweight.

now this sounds like the most stupid reason to hate your own child but its as stupid as doing the same because of someones sexuality. and since it only ALMOST happened to me i realized how many horibble memories most gays have to carry and that their pain hurts much more then the pain ive felt and hopefully parents and friends will open their eyes to whats really important instead of causing such pain.

overdid it again didnt i? XP

*stifles laughter* Ha. Anyway, that's pretty sad that people would actually stop buying coffee from someone just because they supported same-sex marriage. I could stop buying stuff from Wal-Mart because they supported STRAIGHT marriage with that logic.
