They will if I ever get the ability to upload armatars. Though I might keep either for myself.
Others to consider:
And so forth. Most of those were requested, the last was supposed to be released for Halloween 2010, but mods rarely gets their requests heard. I had hoped, though, since most users at the time was begging for another armatar contest, so at least having something else to change to might have made them happy.
Well, it would need the approval from the staff, which is busy with AGv3. Otherwise I would already have whipped up a new seasonal/topic armatar contest like the old seasonal contests Carlie ran.
That might be, but as mentioned, it would need the approval of the staff. Not to mention their help to actually put up the new armatars, something they most likely won't have time or motivation for, if I am to judge on their general way of responding to my emails.
If I was an admin with the ability to put them up, we would have had a seasonal armatar contest for both seasons and at least Halloween (because those are amusing), but, well, I am not. I did try to get the approval before, when Ian was around, but didn't get it then, doubtfully gonna get it now.
Maybe a way forward would be that a competition on Armatars may provide a bit more interactivity when the switch is happening. It could be run on the forums, overseen by the mods and maybe even judged by the mods. All the admin would have to do is insert the winning Armatar, and perhaps award points to the winner.
That's what they currently have to do, though. Put them up, take them down when the contest time is over. But as it is, custom armatars might not even be an option of AGv3 due to copyright issues.
I don't really know. As mentioned, I would gladly run it if I had the support from the staff, knowing they would put it up when I had chosen some. But AGv3 comes first, I guess. I am pretty sure I haven't been the only one asking about it over the last year, but I can't really say I have gotten a reply saying "Sure, go ahead." And to be completely honest, I have pretty much given up on the idea. Doesn't stop me from trying to imitate the current style of armatars to make more.
I love the snake (was my 2nd favorite armatar) and the one I'm using now because It kind of look like a Medieval merchant or an architect even though it's a scholar.
