Anyone who tries to tell me or persuade me to believe in something/nothing is a conman in my eyes.
Tell that to your teachers then. There's a difference between sticking your head in the sand and covering your ears whilst yelling that what people try to tell you are lie and intelligently picking out what to believe or not to believe.
If someone offers to sell you a bridge, shows you papers demonstrating they can legally sell it to you and you can take those papers to someone else and verify they aren't forgeries. Then it stands they aren't conning you.
You just described a confidence scam. A slight variation on a scam of George Parker's in which he sold the Brooklyn Bridge. Where the person you think can verify they aren't forgeries is actually the conman who you put your confidence(con) in.

Well for one my teacher never told me to believe in anything and I was only applying what I said to religion. I'm not saying I don't' listen to what people have to say only when they try to persuade or tell me to believe or not believe in a religion. I'm merely saying when it comes to religion I'll figure out what I want to believe on my own. I don't need anyone trying to persuade me there religion is best. I don't understand why its so controversial to say that.

They told you to believe that 1 +1 = 2 right?
So, when you say that, do you mean only religion? Or to anything?

What Mage said:

You can take it to someone who can verify that by yourself, and chances are, the third party won't know the seller.

The third pay wouldn't even need to be a third party. You could look at the county records to see if the claim is legitimate.
Another more simplistic way to look at this. Let's say someone wanted to persuade you that they had a ball. They tell you they have and hold a ball up in there hand. Would you not trust this claim?
Anyway @Stephen, doesn't matter whether you go to an atheist minority or majority school, it just depends on whether the school is good and the people nice. Oh and the food.
The school's food is awesome, the people are great company, and i don't have to hand in work on time (self-paced). Overall epic school.

Wha? You have a better school then me by far... RAGE! *gets so pissed that he takes his bro's monitor and throws it out the window* Your school is so much better. I'd move to Canada just to go there.

sounds like a good school except for the self-paced part. when your done whit school and your going to actualy work then there is a deadline. you have never learned to work whit a deadline in school and i can asure you that this will become a problem for you
I'm not surprised. The world is still dominated by superstition, it'll be a while before it fades.
The foundation that creates the superstitious nature might be to far ingrained in us for it to ever fade.
Right now I'm listening to a podcast full of scientist talking about how when we think of what god thinks and wants, we are actually looking at things introvertedly. This is confirmed with brain scans, since different areas of the brain are active when we are thinking of our own thoughts and desires as apposed to others. This means what we are experiencing is just our own thoughts and wants and transferring it to a god.

I would believe it if I saw it with my own eyes and knew their was evidence but if you say you saw it and nobody else saw it I can't believe it.
In the sense that Atheism is defined by believing that there is no god. I believe that is rather a bold statement to make. I personally am non-religious. That doesn't mean I don't believe in a god, it merely means that I haven't found mine yet. To me a god doesn't necessarily have to be a specific form or shape like in many other religions. To me God could be a mere form of "energy" that allows things to happen.
To believe that the universe, everything around us, everything that will become of us is the result of mere chance. Does not sit well with me.

This would be what is known as gnostic or strong atheism. There is also the agnostic or weak atheism. In short atheism is nothing more than a lack of belief in any god, not the belief there is no god. That lack of belief can step from any source including simply not being exposed to the very concept.
That doesn't mean I don't believe in a god, it merely means that I haven't found mine yet.
You say that as if your window shopping instead of seeking what is actually there.

Far as I can tell the most basic definition of god refers to a being with some supreme control over some aspect of reality. So what your describing wouldn't be a god per-say.
To believe that the universe, everything around us, everything that will become of us is the result of mere chance. Does not sit well with me.
It wasn't all by changes, there were specific natural processes guiding much of it. Even in terms of what we regard as random really only refers to a processes where certainty is an issue. So a random or change happening could very much be guided by natural forces but the complexity of those interaction are to the point we are unable to predict a certain outcome.

I am like you also, I have not found my religion yet. I just have my own social beliefs, customs, and ideas. I don't believe in monarchies. Yet, to me communism and socialism are not right on the ball with my ideas. I am looking for a religion that makes sense, from a political standpoint, a religious standpoint and a social standpoint. It is very difficult to decide, as I am a strong believer in the natural rights of an individual. I believe that these rights must be respected and that most religigions that click with most people do not have what I am looking for. I do think that if there are gods out there, there are probably many. One god sort of seems to control-freak to me. Power should not be rested upon one mortal or immmortal, but a group of beings mortal or immortal. I do not think that I can really find a religion so I guess that you can call me an atheist. Anyway, those are my ideas that I shared about religion.
To me, atheism is plausible, but I am fairly certain that there are some sort of gods watching over us. We do not understand much about them, and I would not be surprised if someone asked what does their god look like, or who were the gods that watched over them in their times of need. We can't help but question these beliefs, but when we find a religion that clicks with us, and makes sense, we will have no questions any more about the true gods...
