@eyetwitch i thought that to kill was one of the 10 commandments and since as an air force pilot, there is a high chance that i will be required to do so. Also its different the Jews going to war with God's permission in the OT to me going to war nowadays. The circumstances have changed completely. Anyway does anyone know what religion thinks about modern war.
Strop, Wow, i could be here a while explaining all of them (obviously). But yah i realize my mistake. I was just writing without a lot of thought (i was still laughin at that catholic belief)...well since jesus dismissed a lot of what the OT said...most of the jewish traditions in fact. I mean obviously the 10 commandments still apply, because those would be "basic principles". Pretty much everything in leviticus got thrown out the window...eating kosher, sacrificing of animals, etc. Umm circumsision(sp?) got removed...

Woody, Personally i don't think it is a sin to fight for your country in which you will be saving lives through your killing. As far as i know thats fine...(plz feel free someone to use a biblical reference to prove me wrong...i dont have the time to find it)
Yes thats what i was doing for the reasons i sed in my last post. However i am still wondering if anyone knows about religions view on modern war, especially war from the air. As i am being sent to Afghanistan i will probably have to bomb people. No one enjoys doing it but that is my job and i am very proffessional about it.However i was wondering how God views killings of this nature. If i kill say 100 people from the air wen i am on duty yet this saves the lives of 50 British soldiers wot does that mean to God? Does it even itself out to 50? I mean how does God score the deaths and lives saved. ( i apologise for talking about it in such a synical way, am just wondering what your opinions are or if there is anything in the bible about it.)
Well God invented everything including middle names so it would be hypocritical for him not to have one. In my imagination God has a really embarrasing middle name and so doesnt tell anyone about it so no one jknows what it is. It is probably muriel or sumthing like that lol.
