Is J pop, like MMMbop?

I'm lost, whats J pop, or MMMbop.

I like Jpop, but only when its not just normal pop except in Japanese.
Sakura Saku by Megumi Hayashibara for example, is Jpop at its best :-)

And Gtrain - Jpop is Just Japanese pop music. I'm not sure about MMMbop, the only MMMbop I know is a song by Hanson :-)

i used to like jpop but i grew out of that phase and now i just think its weird

Haha, exactly, I only like it when its a bit bizarre. Its nothing to do with the fact its in Japanese, they just dont make music that happy sounding here.

Reading all of of these post I would have to guess that J Pop is some kind of japaneese boy band. Well, at least it sounds like it is. Please let me know if I'm right.

a good band of J rock is UVERworld a band which made one of the opening songs of "Bleach" does it ring any bells to anyone??

Jpop is japanese pop music and in japan its just pop music.

How can you stand listening to something you can't understand?
