Deviolurr, check out my topic about on page 3 called Jesus of History vs. Jesus of Faith.

So, my question to you is how do you REALLY know he was the Son of God? We mis-translate ancient texts all the time.

He performed most of his miracles through God, but HE RAISED LAZARETH FROM THE DEAD WITH HIS OWN POWERS! These are divine powers, obviously.
There are other examples, I just can't think of any right now.

@Divolurr: I'll take that, even thought I don't believe I'll have any chance of collecting. I really would like to ask him why he's been doing just an awful job taking care of humanity.

@chillad_nodi: I don't think citing legends without independent, unbiased confirmation is going to prove anything. Get back to me when you actually have a person that has supernatural powers that are confirmed by skeptics.

If jesus is meant to return wots takin him so long is his flight from heaven late or sumtin. Delayed by 2000 years. If he does come bak he will be rele old

I'm pretty sure that everyone will eventually see Jesus. The believers that get raptured will see him first, though. But there is still hope for those who missed the rapture, you can still come to Christ. In the end, Jesus will return and he will "separate the sheep from the goats".

I believe that the question was, "Are you ready for Jesus' coming?"

Honestly, no. I still feel that i have to live a bit more of my life out. Maybe when i get a job and a wife, i will be ready.

I just don't understand why most Christians think Jesus is mystical and supernatural. Can't Christianity stand if they realize he was just a great guy that knew how to relate to people?

Who says he won't be reincarnated into some new person to save us all on 2012. That's when the Mayan Calendar ends or whatever it is, and I've heard countless of times from hundreds of people that the end is near. Who's to say he didn't come hear tens of thousands of years ago to save some other species?

About saving some other species:
Who says he did not. There are plenty of planets in the universe with intelligent life. Our turn will come. Oh yeah, and since he said that he will be back, he will come to us regardless of how many times he already came. (Thinks: Maybe that's what happened to the Neanderthals.) He may even come in two waves to save different races living at different time periods on the same planet.

Hahaha, I am sorry.

I just pictured Jesus showing up on some other planet to 'save' an alien species. All the aliens just look at him and go "What the hell is that? An alien?"

Same thing with Neanderthals, but they just kinda state at him and wonder if he is edible. Besides, I doubt Jesus would of gone back in time to screw around with Neanderthals.

He obviously can take any form. If he is on an alien planet, he will be born an alien. If he was going to the Neanderthals, he would have been a Neanderthal. Chances are, he didn't come to earth first.

So wait...are you seriously trying to suggest that Jesus is some kind of being that can transcend time and space? And change his appearance? Just to save random species?

Isn't it kind of vain to say that you believe in other species, but that God chose a human to give birth to his son?

I am so confused. This sounds like the illegitimate child of Catholicism and Scientology now....

What I am saying:
Jesus was born to humans as a human. He was born to each race as that race. He can be born multiple times, because the race he goes to will probably not take to an angel proclaiming kingship, but rather to one of its own kind. This means he chose a human, and several aliens of different species. And yes, Jesus can transcend time and space. By the way, good joke at the end of your last post.

@chiliad_nodi

I am Christian but what your saying is odd. How do you know that Jesus could even come to Earth, and if he could, wouldn't it take a long for him to. He is not an all powerful being remember, he came to Earth and was born to mary, and, are extent of knowledge is that he was a very holy man. Who ever said that he can come to different planets, change time and space, and change his form. Using your logic i should be able to turn myself into an iguana righhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhht..................NOW.

He is no ordinary person. He is part of God. He is all-powerful, through God. He can transcend space, otherwise he cannot do what I stated.
