So. . . What do you think? Is AG overrated? I think it is. Quote from a previous post of mine (From the link above).
Because. Just because. "Hey moderator, you forgot to delete that post!" Hey, well guess what? JUST IGNORE IT. "Oh, I'm reporting Cen because _____!" WELL GUESS WHAT? GROW UP YOU BABY "I don't know how to favorite a game" DOES IT REALLY MATTER? "Can you add me as a friend?" NO I CANNOT, YOU FOREVER ALONE PERSON. "Why did you remove me as a friend?" YOU. . . ARE FOREVER ALONE.
I have had way to many people ask me "Why did you remove me from your friends list?" First of all, is AG supposed to be some sort of social networking site? Probably not. Especially when everyone can see them and moderators can delete them. Then, there's people who complain that they can't get enough AP. First of all, does it really matter? AP in reality means close to nothing. Sure, you get armatars. Then people complain that they don't like them. Then they complain that they should have seasonal armatars.
etc.
So. . . This is just my view on the topic. You all are welcome to share your opinions.
So how are the admins going to keep track of 2 million + users?
That's what the programming department of ArmorGames is for AND (less not forget them!) ...the moderator team!!
Don't worry... they will be keeping track of every user here!
*looks over his shoulder*
I could have sworn there was someone watching me just now... ...meh, probably nothing! =)
And personally, to answer the topic's question, I don't think that the ArmorGames website is overrated. I think it has a great community and loads of good games! It's actually a place I enjoy spending my free time and it doesn't get bored! =D
And the new version of ArmorGames coming is simply the same type of car you love to drive, but with a complete overhaul on exteriour and interiour, with a gadget-filled dashboard and a new engine that roars under that shiny hood! They made several prototypes already, testing all new stuff and now it's only waiting untill the first one is launched for the public to use! Keep an eye out for the new 'car on the block' people! =D
That's what the programming department of ArmorGames is for AND (less not forget them!) ...the moderator team!!
So the moderators and the administrators will sift through 2,155,697 and counting users' comments? And the private comments are only view able by admins. . .

Are they? Thaboss thought mods could see them too... And they'll probably only look at the ones that the users report by way of telling them or pressing a "flag" button or whatever. And they don't need to keep track of ALL the users. Just the active ones. Think of it as how it is now. The mods and admins and users can see comments and mods and admins can delete them. In AG3 the mods and admins but NOT users will be able to see them, and mods and admins will be able to delete them.
And what do you dislike so much about AG3? It's a BETA! And if you don't like the "design" then that's too bad...
So the moderators and the administrators will sift through 2,155,697 and counting users' comments?
Yes we will. You think we haven't already done this?
To compound this, users will likely be equipped with extra user-bound tools to help out with this process of spam and offensive comment deletion. But see this is where you guys come in. If, for some detailed and extravagant reason, you guys don't like how we do our jobs, you guys can collaborate together to root out the evil spammites. It will be just like how it is in AG2, just more detailed and varied. Considering the amount of help given from the veterans like yourselves, I still hang on to the ideology that moderators still are the go-to people for removing spam.
And the private comments are only view able by admins. . .
I'm sure there will come a time where we will request that administrators reveal the relevant private messages of users that affect whether or not the users have been obeying the Terms and Conditions. Otherwise, we aren't going to mess with the private contents of users, because they are private.
And so far. . . It's not that shiny, glammed up car that we all wish for. . .
Since when were you "all"? Egotism aside, we will just have to wait for more public releases. Just.Like.We.Did.With.Closed.Beta.
And so far. . . It's not that shiny, glammed up car that we all wish for. . .
Patience is key here... it's not an easy job to make a complete new version of a website. It's not like going out to the cornershop to buy a new magazine... it's a lot of work and takes time and testing! As soon as the new site launches, all will be well. And a whole bunch of AG users asking "when is AG v3.0 going to be launched?" every 5 minutes is not helping the development team here...
So the moderators and the administrators will sift through 2,155,697 and counting users' comments? And the private comments are only view able by admins. . .
Yes they will... by means of search progams for indecent language uesed and reports given to the mods and admins by responsible users. So it might not mean that all the dirt is going to be cleaned up in a matter of seconds, but it most definitely will be eventually! =)
Patience is key here... it's not an easy job to make a complete new version of a website.
But the thing is, I'm afraid I'm going to be banned by the time the site comes out!
But the thing is, I'm afraid I'm going to be banned by the time the site comes out!
Allright then... why do you assume you're going to be banned? This would imply that you already doing stuff that's not allowed here on this website and it will be only a matter of time before a mod sees it and will act upon it...
My advise here will sound a litte simple, but it is actually... pretty simple!
Stop doing the thing that's not allowed and you'll see the light of the new AGv3.0 when it's going to shine upon you! =D
Allright then... why do you assume you're going to be banned?
Long story. Kinda helps if you knew what was happening. I guess you could see this thread, if you want to.
If you're commiting acts which are prone to get you evicted from the site, then perhaps thats why you don't like the site.
That's the second time you've said that. I already said before that just because I think the site is overrated doesn't mean I don't like it.
Stop doing the thing that's not allowed and you'll see the light of the new AGv3.0 when it's going to shine upon you! =D
That isn't my point. What I'm trying to say is that I think that I will get banned from the site because of something stupid. And no I did not create this thread to protest.
are u guys really arguing over this?if u like the site play if u don't like then get off.we all have preferences and annoyances but come on really guys? i know i am going to make a few more enemies but posting this but o well.FREEDOM OF SPEECH .PEACE

Why would you make enemies? This is basically invalid vs. everyone else. Your point is valid and has truth in it. But I wouldn't say that they are arguing exactly.
if u like the site play if u don't like then get off
Did you read the post above you? Or should I post it bigger and get myself banned?
we all have preferences and annoyances but come on really guys?
. . . And your post is in my 'annoyance' category.
FREEDOM OF SPEECH .PEACE
Neither of those are in America. . .
But anyway, if you can't post well and stay on the topic, then don't at all.
Thanks for those words of wisdom. I would say the people have more freedom of speech in USA than most other countries.
But anyway, if you can't post well and stay on the topic, then don't at all.
Was that just a warning to future posters? Or were you saying that killer was off-topic? I'm almost positive that his whole post was on topic to what this thread was about. On the other hand, you brought America and an annoyance category into this. Off-topic anyone?
