This is why AG has a help section.

Wrong, that is why AG has a guide stickied, that actually have a "Help! I lost xAP!" section.
It should probably be elaborated on, though.
Someone might have deleted your comments on their profile, either because they wanted to clean up a bit, or they were feeling malicious and hate people having AP.
Or AG is glitchy, a thread have disappeared into the Armogamial Triangle.

Just.... Assume you need to write longer comments and posts and move on. It could be anything, but it is usually somehow, one way or another, your own fault.

That is exactly why I delete comments. That way users can whine about their loss of AP.

Former mod Cenere hit it 95% on the dot. While we're not condemning people for conversing between users in the profile comments, back-and-forth chatting with little response content should be left to a third-party chat room like AIM.
