i believe the question was actually what goes up a chimney down but doesn't go down a chimney up.. and i think someone answered what i believe is the correct answer.. umbrella
A man is escaping jail. he has found a way out of his cell, but has to run down a hallway that takes 10 min. to go through. the hallway has no ceiling, but the man can't get out any way he tries. there is also a guard guarding the beginning of the hallway. he checks the hallways every 5 minutes. he would easily be able to see and shoot the man running down the hallway. so how does the man escape?
He runs down and when the guard comes to check he walks the opposite end,and the guard will think he's somebody else,so he'll leave,and the man will run down again and escape
A man lives on the 14th floor of a building. Everyday, he walks down to the elevator, hits the 'lobby' button, and rides it to the bottom and then goes to work. When he comes back from work, he only takes the elevator up to the 7th floor and walks the rest of the way on the stairs. Why doesn't he take the elevator all the way to the top?
