The discussion on the Reich of Darkness page has been ... interesting. I don't think any resolution will come from there about whether or not it was a good idea to have a &quotro-Nazi" game. I myself strongly feel that with so many choices out there, fighting on the side of the Nazis (and making them attractive in the meantime) was a very poor choice of subjects.

I doubt I will convince anyone to delete this game, but would you at least take away the Reich of Darkness promotion on the site? I don't think this is a game anyone would want to be associated with, and I think it would be in your best interests to avoid connections between this and pro-Nazi connotations.

I just heard about the game having to be removed from the site.


It was shortly removed and then uploaded again, but I'm curious to find out where you heard that? =)

And I still think it's exaggerated to state that this type of game is not suitable with it's storyline and background... if they were to have used the views of the nazis to create a background story for this game, I would agree. But now all they did was make a game that enables you to try and conquer the world with an army that resembles the Wehrmacht... nothing wrong with it as long as you don't use propaganda to spread those sickening Nazi beliefs!

Sorry for the (as it seems) double post, but I saw one of the advertisements for an online strategy game called "Wargame 1942" here on armorgames and I immediately had to think about this thread!

Why add this game to the discussion? Because it's another good example of a game where one can play as the 'Wehrmacht' instead of the ever-used allies. Can't be wrong, right? =)
