DO you think he will be our next president?

Yes. Though I'm kind of rooting for Santorum. Here's my list of candidates:

1. Santorum
2. Romney
3. Gingrich
4. Paul
5. Obama

Obama is the worst president in history( in my opinion). I wouldn't want him to be president again. 4 years is bad enough torture. Another 4 years would be deadly.

This is a thread about the American election. Since many AG users are not from the USA, maybe this confused them a little.

Way to go for discriminating against non-Americans. Then I remember the level of political awareness many Amercans such as yourself show in the Forums and I roll my eyes.

For those of us thinking logically:

The republicans will not win

There are millions of good reasons to support this claim

Anyways, I can't support any conservative republican, so that leaves Ron Paul. But i can't support most of his radical ideas (though i've heard he's taken back a few, i haven't followed closely) so i can't root for him either. I'm neutral with Obama, so I would hope he wins.

It's really funny how you've said this on every political thread, but when people ask you what he's done, you've never given an answer.

Well as the one sane Republican in this thread, I feel it my duty to defend us conservatives.

Macfan... you're making me a very SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD panda.

Obama is the worst president in history( in my opinion)

I respect your right to have an opinion, I just feel as if you've made a major miscalculation in worst presidents. I feel Buchanan (who let the country split) or Carter (who gave up on the country in something called "The Sweater Offensive&quot is more fitting of the Worst President title. Obama isn't too bad, he's just not all too good either.

Another 4 years would be deadly.

What? I really don't think that just electing a half-way "meh" president is akin to shooting oneself. Shooting oneself in the foot maybe, but not a full-on headshot.

Most of us aren't that bad. Just the Jesus-Freaks. Allow me to introduce myself, The Friendly Neighborhood Satanist, seeker of all things based on fact and reason. I am the 1%, and abhor the ignorant actions of Macfan, who makes me, a die-hard patriot, ashamed to call myself American. Don't judge a group by the value of one of its parts, my friend.

Well then, let's hear them! At least two-million, right now!

It's really funny how you've said this on every political thread, but when people ask you what he's done, you've never given an answer.

It really is aggravating, I must say.

1. Santorum

This man is too heavily influenced through the church to be the leader of a nation where the church and the state are on two separate playing fields. I'm not hating on the concept of religion, but when trying to govern the most powerful and influential nation on Earth, one does not go to an intangible force that really cannot be proven exists. I'm a Satanist and I'm willing to admit that even Beelzebub might not exist and is just a figment, and that little piece of doubt is what will keep a theologically-minded man a horrendous pick for POTUS.

Concerning Romney - Meh. I really think he's a new coat of paint on Obama, really (save Obamacare). He's just ever-so-slightly more Right (not correct, but right-wing). As a devout Capitalist, I find it critical to elect a man like Ron Paul or Newt Gingrich in, but Ron Paul is, unfortunately, too extremely Right to be a widely-acclaimed candidate and Gingrich is a bit shady. Romney, I feel, is the first step in the path towards the good old days of Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon.

Many Americans, of which the fundamentalists are the most prominent. I don't need another cliched Satanist introduction. You don't need to qualify yourself if you're not part of those that I accuse.

Romney is gonna win the nomination.
Then he'll have to back away from many of the things he said during the Republican primaries so as to appeal to a wide voter base.

Then his flip-flopper reputation will bite him on his *** with both his Republican base and the wide population.

And then Obama gets re-elected.

Oh, and spoiler alert.

His flip-floppiness hasn't bit him in the *** yet.
That's the thing that worries me.
So far all the canidates that are getting all the votes SUCK, the one canidate that would at least not make the economy and stuff worse isn't going to get nominated.
In short we are screwed.

Obama doesn't do anything. Seriously, he's literally done absolutely nothing to better or worsen this country. An empty suit, a blank file.

Just due to his absolute lack of anything, I'd take him over anybody but Ron Paul any day.

If Santorum even has a tiny chance, I will destroy the ground he walks on and send him to his fiery death. For the betterment of this country, and the protection of its citizens. We must not have that madman in office, and I will not sit idly by while he strips our rights and throws people into concentration camps.

Well that's an unfair statement to say the least. Don't be a fan of the guy all you want, but don't pretend like he didn't stimulate an economy that was already shattered when he arrived, significantly improve health care coverage for the average American and allow gay people to serve openly on the military.
Off the top of my head. That mandatory link, as well.

Then again you support Ron Paul, so our ideas of good economic policy are going to wrestle one another for days.

I believe he did cut spending some, but his fixes are merely artificial fixes. They are short time fixes that will only prolong the inevitable bust.

significantly improve health care coverage for the average American

He did improve the number of people covered by healthcare, by forcing everyone to buy it against their will...

As for the site you linked, keep in mind most of the economic "advances" are a charade. When the government supports something that's a "good" cause, keep in mind they're supporting that cause with our money, from taxes that we pay.

People shouldn't be forced to pay for "good causes", it should be up to the individual to decide where his money goes, how much money he pays, and what his priorities should be when he pays for goods.

It also gives examples of good done when Obama decided to help pay off debts or make it easier for debts to be payed off, such as student loans. This only gives more people incentive to go to college, rack up debt, then never fully repay it, meaning the tax payers are paying for people's college education, which horrible because it makes artificially transforms college into this "basic need". In short, we have too many students with loans they should never have gotten in the first place unable to pay off their debts. Because it's so easy to go to college, we have so many over qualified people that jobs that shouldn't require a college degree are nearly impossible for high school graduates to obtain because those jobs are being given to college graduates, making it a requirement to pay into the expensive college system.

Mitt Romney is practicly the same person as Obama. There is only one difference... Mitt can't beat Obama i a debate. The only person I see being Obama in a debate is Gingrich, but I highly doubt he will be elected.

Mitt will be nominated, then Obama will beat him no doubt. and yes, Obama is the worst presdent ever! (with Bush as a close 2nd)

Actually, in like a little debating thingy which I know nothing about, a bunch of people were in head to head debates with Obama, and the only one who won against him was Ron Paul.
Troll me all you want.
