That's what he said, that's not what happened Trayvon's supporters contend, and details have not been furnished.
...The attacked by Martin part? Otherwise, they pretty much agree what happened. Martin was running, undisputed, and then what? The 30 year old Zimmerman ran after the 17 year old man and shot him in the chest at close range? He still could have called the police, which is a logical thing to do when you are being attacked by a armed man, if Martin's supporters are correct.
Trying to do several things right now, and your lack of quotes is making it difficult to follow.
I was responding to your point on whether he was attacked after walking back to his car, which indicates that Martin was more likely to have attacked first, or whether Zimmerman was attacked away from the car which reduces the likelihood that Martin was the perpetrator. That hasn't really been establishe yet.
It's not that hard to follow when my response came directly after what you said. And no I can't quote whilst on my phone.
Hmmm... If it was Zimmerman simply gunning Trayvon down, as the supporters of that claim, why was only one shot fired? If the goal is to kill, then why not unload into the target (and avoid contact the police)? Also, if you're pinned at point blank by a guy with a gun, why would that gunman give you 10 seconds to be yelling "help" (as supporters claim that it was Trayvon's voice on that 911 call)?

How does that have anything to do with what you said? You said his seat belt is unbuckled, so? It means he wears a seat belt?

It does when I have a dozen other tabs open and am doing some other things on the side...

If he was attacked as Zimmerman claimed, then why in hell was he attacked? It isn't like Zimmerman was an immediate threat in his story, and was of course armed, so what kind of fool attacks an armed man and expects to win?
It would be possible that Zimmerman was slightly paranoid but wanted to do the right thing, he called the police often and was in the neighborhood watch. To me he sounds kind of like a little kid, wanting to defend his home and being a little paranoid about it. It would be then possible for him to try to apprehend Martin by himself, by wrestling him down, which would give him time to yell help. Then his alien contacts could have beamed down and I am really just wild mass guessing...
But innocent until proven guilty and all that, I am not going to pick a side myself until the trial is over.
He unbuckled and got out and walked off. The walking off is the important bit, implying that he went to find Martin and not Martin coming to attack him.
Not my problem to worry about, I'm just drifting in and out.

And why would walking off imply his attack? I don't here him walking off myself, and only something that maybe might be a seat belt. The sound quality is poor in the original, you can't understand half of what Zimmerman is saying or what is going on.
And if Martin thought he would be attacked, and was already running, wouldn't he have called the police if he threat legitimately threatened?
After he unbuckled, the dispatcher asked him I he was following him, which he replied yes. That indicates walking. It implies a reduced likelihood that Martin came back and threw the first punch. It doesn't rule out that Martin started it, but it casts doubt on Zimmerman's account.
If he ran off he would think he was safe if Zimmerman didn't follow, which he didn't immediately, so why call? I wouldn't atop running jut to call, I would get as far away as I could.

Which he then replied "We don't need you to do that" and "OK", which implies that he stopped following him. He may have started then went back to the car, which would explain why he is outside. It doesn't cast doubts on it at all, especially considering we are both just WMGing

After running a few minutes from a man in a car with a gun, you just assume that your safe? He was already calling someone, his girlfriend, so it is not like he could not use the phone. It was the girlfriend who gave him the advice to run, hell she could have called the cops for him. And he obviously stopped running, a relatively fit 17 year old man with a head start will usually beat an somewhat old out of shape man in a race, so if he did have the stop, why would he be anywhere near Zimmerman for Zimmerman to attack so closely?
