With all the actual evidence being made public, should we continue the discussion?
It would seem that the evidence supports Zimmerman's case, Martin was on drugs at the time (Explaining the way he acted?) and Zimmerman did have the wounds he had claimed to, hinting that there was physical confrontation. According to the sources I have read, at least.

It could still be argued rather easily that -Trayvon- was acting under the stand your ground law as Zimmerman was following him against police advice and Trayvon felt as though his life was threatened, explaining why Trayvon wounded Zimmerman.

Zimmerman was completely within his rights and the law following Martin, regardless of what the police suggested. There was no reason to feel his life was threatened under Zimmerman's account, considering it says basically Zimmerman was giving up the chase when he was attacked.
It could be considered an instance of stand-your ground law, but there is nothing to suggest that Zimmerman was an immediate threat to Martin. It isn't self defense without an immediate threat.

Not necessarily. THC can stay in the system for a month sometimes. So he could have gotten high another day and still have been completely fine that day. I'd also be a little suprised if the weed made him attack zimmerman randomly. (I guess taking too much and becoming paranoid is a possiblity?)

Another possibility, a likely option considering the fact that he was currently suspended for possession.

It is, but I was thinking more along the lines of the fact it would change his logic. If he was high, it would explain the "Suspicious behavior" Zimmerman reported, as well as the illogical things that he did, like attacking an armed man before calling the police, or talking to his girlfriend when he legitimately thought he was being stalked. It would be unlikely to make him do the attack by itself, but it could help take him out of a logical state of mind.
