@SSTG
Some points of yours seem valid. However, addressing them is necessary as some are fundamentally flawed.
you forgot to mention that Obama is trying to close the loopholes so that the crooked corporations like the ones who move the work to China can't benefit from a tax break. He made it possible for me to get insurance even though I have a pre-existing condition. Tell me what is wrong with that?
Are we polarizing things a bit here? Remember than no political party is perfect, no political system is perfect, and that no world is perfect. My position is not that Obama is a horrible president and that he deserves to be punished unlike some others. I realize that no president is perfect while you clearly have not done so. I just am stating that the drawbacks outweigh the merits and that Obama possibly is not our best choice. As a perfectly rational individual, I think that there is a better choice than Obama.
Insurance cost a fortune because drug companies are inflating the cost of medications. You can't believe all the lies spread by the Chamber of Commerce (terrorist organization) which is composed of thieves who have been abusing the system for years.
Now that Obama is telling them to stop committing crimes, they are mad so they spew propaganda in order to defeat all the good things the president achieved.
There are two points that could be amended. First, listening to conspiracy theories about the chamber of commerce is usually an unsafe idea as media sources tend to exaggerate things by a bit. Terrorists wreck havoc. The Chamber of Commerce is actually trying to help the United States economy. Is there not a difference? I don't know about you but there seems to be a big one. Secondly, we need deregulation; however, Obama is going for increased regulation. Perhaps like this patent system? The only reason drug companies are getting rich from people less fortunate is that they have patents. From patents they get a monopoly. Without a patent system, competitors will come into the picture and bring prices down. This is a capitalist system yet you sympathise with Obama (who has socialist intentions). How can you be capitialist and for Obama?
Some other points you bring up are encompassed in the unfairness of life. Those who have studied diligently as children go into good schools, go to good colleges and then go to good jobs. Isn't a low income your problem and not your banker's problem? Also, I am sorry to tell you this, but not everything is fair. Good people die. Bad people live. And stuff happens. No government system can fix that except for a socialist/communist system in which wage incentives are taken away. In such a sytem, nobody goes anywhere. For example, lets talk about a hypothetical fruit called fruit A. In a capitalist system, farmer maximizes profit by selling as much as fruit A as he can. The middleman would sell Fruit A at as high a price as he/she could to maximise profit. In a socialist system, however, farmer would sit there and do nothing. After all, no matter how much of Fruit A he creates, he has the same profit. Therefore, lets say that he decides not to fertilize Fruit A to save money. The middleman the dumps rotton and dry Fruit A on the market. Although I slightly humored the characters and simplified, a socialist system takes away work incentives. Why work if you don't have to? Furthermore, in a capitalist system, farmer would buy more land with profits to create more of Fruit A and increase GDP. In a socialist/communist system, farmer would sit there and let things rot. A capitalist system is more effective than a socialist system.
Your point about greedy bankers is nice. However, bailing out the banks is a socialist idea, not a capitalist idea. In a free market, bank B dies and Bank C and Bank D take its place. Therefore, I don't see why capitalism is bad.
Also, calling me "rich" only degrades your point as it shows that you are unwilling to look beyond social barriers. Your points at the bottom are polarized and exaggerated. In all honestly, I am not rich, nor am I poor. Actually, I am part of the middle-class that is suffering from the rich/poor divide. We have to pay as much taxes as the "rich" and we don't get the benefits as the "
oor" do. I do realize that nothing is perfect and that Obama has not been the best president.
How is Obama helping the economy? By bailing out the hardworking poor with the lazier poor, he is killing our economy. If the rich expand, companies become more efficient and benefits are passed onto the consumer. If companies reduce costs and reduce expenses, the company can then price it lower than those of its competitors. Although the rich become richer, the middle-class/lower-class people also get benefits. This is how a true capitalist system should work; opposite of some of the things Obama is doing too. Taxing companies increases expenses and makes end products more expensive. Taxing the rich is not a solution but a death-sentence. Obama, clearly, is not the perfect president.
