Well....... I KNOW! They are called pineapples cause they are sharp like pines and.......ummmmm......they are juicy like apples? XD That is all I got. For now. XD
Think about it if you would put a pine on an apple it would look a little like a pineapple. Also they are sharp because pineneedles are too sometimes. It all makes sense.
Most fruits we eat are juicy so that doesn't really make sense.

Pineneedles are pointy, not sharp. And the fruit itself is the reason for the name, not the leaves on top of it. Google it, wikipedia it, there's an actual historical reason for the name. Or just look on this thread a few pages ago, it has already been posted.

You sir have an uncommon imagination. And I (or rather Wikipedia) already said why it's called pineapple which is not the reason you stated, so no, you're not right in that point.
