Matt takes Amy to a wonderful, classy resteraunt. He has eaten here several times and loves the food. They each have a good time, until, halfway through the meal, Amy throws up. She gets very ill and has to leave the room. Several other people in the resteraunt get sick as well. Nothing was wrong with the food, nor with Amy or anyone else. In fact, she thought it was delicious. She hadn't had an allergic reaction and had no illness before coming here. On top of that, Matt wasn't particularly surprised. Why not?
They're eating in the Middle Ages, where eating, then making yourself throw up, then eating again was considered the norm for the noble class.

Well, they were eating something Fancy (like snails or Eels) And she throw up. The others saw her, and throw up too.

The're all cows and have to re-eat they're food?
...what? No...they are both normal humans.

Those were Roman feasts. This event happened in 2012, although the actual year isn't important. Let's say after 2000.

No, it was just a nice resteraunt that serves Red Lobster-style dishes. Nothing upper-upper class.

Are they in some sort of sick place, like a hospital? But amy had no prior illness... Was the food the cause of the illness?

Uh Uh !! I have another Idea !!!
He was intending to marry her. He ordered her food to be with a ring in it. Many peoples wanted the same food. The cheff put rings in all of them. All peoples eated the rings because they were hidden too well, and they become ill, because the ring poisoned them from inside.
