So, there was a thread on here a while back dedicated to riddles. Thaboss hasn't seen any new thread recently, so he's decided to start his own. Feel free to post and respond to any riddles.

Here's a classic one.

Bob hates his job. One day, while Bob is working on the 34th floor of an office building, he decides he's fed up with it. He rips open a window, and jumps through it. Although Bob is on the 34th floor, and there was nothing to stop, slow down, or cushion his fall, when he landed, he was perfectly fine. How?

Subtract Half of 1/2.. Lol That's what I meant. You get zero.

He spoke and she died. Why?

Thaboss is back. He has been busy with life and stuff. He probably won't be able to contribute to this thread a lot in the future.

Is the person speaking some sort of judge proclaiming a death sentence?

Also, thaboss has compiled most of the riddles/answers that have been posted after his absence into the word document. And he has some fun little riddles to post but will wait until the current ones are solved.

Again here are the 2 super hard:

1: The train just passed, without hitting anyone or anything, but she died because of it. Why?
2: He spoke and she died. Why?

Hint : He was talking normally. Nothing about death. Maybe about weather or something?

For the second one. Did his speaking cause an avalanche? They were mountain climbers, and he spoke, causing an avalanche, killing her but not him.

Still no idea about the first one,

Nope, if it was an avalanche and she died, most probably he would have died too .

Here is another hint : They were together.

Was her death a direct result of what he said?

That would get you .125..the half is not .5 (or 1/2)..but half of the number

The answer is 8. Cut it vertically and you get 2 zeros

Next one (easy) :

The ages of a father and a son add up to 55. The Father's age is the son's age reversed. How old are they?

Correct Matt

Two soldiers have been ordered to do the following
1. Peel Potatoes
2. Do the Dishes
3. Mow the Lawn
Each of those chores, when done by one person, takes an hour. If they start at 8 A.M., what could they do to take as little time as possible if they have only one knife, one lawn mower, and one sink with room for one person?

For the sake of the riddle one will be called Leo and the other Mini Leo.

Leo's schedule:

1. Peel potatoes (Half an hour)
2. Do the Dishes (Half an hour)
3. Mow the lawn (Half an hour)

Mini Leo's schedule:

1. Mow the lawn (Half an hour)
2. Peel potatoes (Half an hour)
3. Do the dishes (Half an hour)

1 and a half hours of work.

But that seems a bit too obvious...

No..tis be correct. Mine aren't that hard..just stuff to get the brain juices flowing and this thread some good activity =p

One mother gave 25 books to her daughter, and another mother gave her daughter 8 books. However, between both daughters they only increased their collection by 25 books. How can this be?

The second daughter already had the 8 books.
