Spammers, try to mess up the site, make it slower. Really try to ruin the site. If you see one that annoys you, just ignore them and delete the comments. If they start to over do it, tell a moderator.

I hope you're kidding. Wasn't it just because he couldn't find them?
Mo' like to lazy to find 'em.

Well I'm just glad a real moderator got to them.

And yes, I am kidding, both now and then.

No, we're talking about how to prevent long, spammy topic names.
We got two ideas so far.

On topic: At least those long titles don't appear that often. They usually don't cover the whole page like the 3 that appeared today.
It was more like thirty. The whole first page of three or four forum sections. Srsly.

@Danstanta:
Add - if the forums have been taken hostile by a group of spammers, log off and come back the next day, when mods have had time to hammer bans out.

@Xzeno:
Well as long as we're kidding - Strop is known for his procrastination of things, so I'm with you on that.

Actually, I choose Strop because 1) he was on, and 2) I didn't think I had quite strong enough a case to constitute a ban, but I thought they needed it, (and I was right!) and Strop's about led me to believe he would be less tolerant then his regular, jolly self.
Oh, on topic- Spam is bad.

Yea I think sitting there doing nothing is worse than fleeing the battlefield.

Admit defeat!
Joking.

Yea I think sitting there doing nothing is worse than fleeing the battlefield.

*flees from battlefield*

Will there ever be a solution to spammers?

I shouldn't need it.

You should know the answer.

Why do you keep replying to me in this fashion?

That's sarcasm too, right? The only ones who shouldn't leave that kind of spam alone is the mods. Normal users shouldn't respond to it, they should just reportreportreport.

Hopefully it will be a solid while before we get another wave.

Well actually what you said was right, I just rephrased it.

Oh right, I think I misread it.
You wrote that it's better to leave than silently watch it unfold...
Yeah, I read it the wrong way. My bad, I apologize.

Any other suggestions as to what to do about it?

Well it wouldn't hurt so much to just leave it to the moderators.
