Hello. While I was exploring AG-based Xats, I've met several unactive/banned/"old-school" AG Users. Most of them said that, one of the main reasons to their inactivity here is that the site was better before.
Is that true?
How better? They say that the threads had more quality back in time.
Well, I can't tell if it was. I joined June 26th, so that's not too much knowledge on our awesome site...

If you count being here since '09, I could call myself a vet... Although I wasn't really active in anything but colony at the time.... I did toddle around the forums, but didn't see these "better times" you speak of. Maybe I missed them by a month.

Precisely. I bet she was doing such a good job, that the Admins were gonna promote her to honorary-administrator, then Strop got jealous and killed her off. Then he became a doctor so he wouldn't be around when we all figured out because he'd be too busy saving lives.

i became inactive so many times here because of that.
Forums are sucky right now. And aren't that fun. Also look at the activity, it's all hours ago by _____. It used to be just now by, a few minutes ago by _____, etc. Threads are meh.

I remember when TTICA was just starting. I was one of the first posters. I suppose everything looks better in retrospect.
I remember when there was actual drama within the forums. I remember when the community was fairly tightly knit (though I suppose some parts of it still is).

Before cormyn, the mod's april fools day jokes were the best ;D
Lige and Klaus were also pretty awesome in general and I don't think any newer user captures that. Not saying that's a bad thing, but the forum has changed.
Of course, I think I joined in what I call 'The Twilight'. I was too new to befriend the likes of Ricador, Pazx, Manta, and all them, and now I'm old to all you new people. :/

My memories of this community are rather vague.
When I first arrived here, I was glimpsing the fade of the old community. When I left it was the beginning of a new one.
In hindsight, I came at the wrong time and the wrong maturity level. The people I found overly serious were all the guys I'd possibly find
good to talk to now.
As it were, my old self would have probably fit right in here very well.
A part of the reason I left (I'm still gone, but a rare ghost) around May was that I no longer fit in with the sudden change in the vibe of the community.
I do have fond memories of this site, and I'll return for AG3, but you wont see me around all that much.

"Bears" was my favorite, but I don't remember why. Something about pandas? Wait, I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to be nostalgic for some reason. Probably because it is one of the easiest ways to overly procrastinate.
