Late-2010 and early 2011 is when the bronies officially "started". In the summer of 2011, everyone got back on their computers and discovered this wealth of high-quality content. They latched onto it, and the population of the fandom exploded.

With the rise of musicians like Jackle App, artists like egophiliac, and high-profile V.A's like Rina-chan, Bronies expanded exponentially to an absolutely immense size considering the short time the actual show has been on air (Less than two years).

They even have their own convention (of which I attended...)

Wow wow wow crazy at first I thought we were gonna ask you hard questions now it's like who'd you like ponies okay but I was gonna ask you if we were doing hard questions how do we know that you don't look up the answer on the Internet or something like that ? Huh And uh how many holes are there in earths atmosphere
