How long does it take you to answer all these questions?
I'll generally wait until five or so questions have piled up before answering all of them. The actual writing of the response varies, but usually doesn't take longer than twenty minutes. I'm a bit sluggish like that.
Why did you choose that armatar?
Everyone else kept taking my other armatars, so I chose one that I hadn't seen anyone else use. I'd still like to see custom avatars be implemented...
Do you really want boppins' armatar?

How many different ponies are there?
The Pony race is divided into four sub-species; Earth, Pegasus, Unicorn, and Alicorn.
Earth Ponies are standard horse affair, no wings, no horns, strong as anything. The most hardy of the pony species (and least educated), they fill in the lower-class roles of bakers and farmers. Ponies like Carrot Top, Roseluck, and Applejack are known for their ability to naturally grow huge legions of crop with incredible ease (and lots of elbow grease) compared to the difficulty a Unicorn or Pegasus would find with the task.
Pegasus ponies (plural, "Pegasi" are winged horses based off the Greek myth. The Pegasi follow a very Greco-Roman discipline in their culture, the floating capital city, Cloudsdale, taking on an Spartan-esque policy of strengthening "The Flock". Used mainly for patrolling and military purposes, the Pegasus are ever-so-above the Earth ponies, able to contend with their hardier brethren by relying on speed and durability, despite having hollow, flight-friendly bones.
The Unicorn ponies are the educated elite of the pony society, many taking residence in the Equestrian capital, Canterlot. Unicorns are skilled in magic, and must study hard in order to control their arcane talents. It is for this reason that Unicorns are the upper crust of society, they're the most likely of the three to become educated and find a well-paying job in the world. For example, Rarity is a well-known fashion designer and Twilight Sparkle is a student to the Lord of the Land and God of the Sun.
Pony society is ruled by the race of Alicorns, winged and horned ponies. Symbolizing the unification of all three lower species, Alicorns have deity-like abilities, and are held as such in pony society. However, even they are not the most powerful beings the country has housed...
