What do you think about suicide.

There are better alternative solutions to depression and anxiety than suicide.

I completely agree. You could go see a psychiatrist who will put you on medicine that will completely mess up your body and how it functions causing side effects that are worse than the original depression that you are trying to cure. I can definitely see how planting a tree or helping a homeless person will cure that, crystal clear. You will only go to Hell if you believe in Hell. The rest of us people who don't feel the need to blindly follow a religion we know what really happens when we die.

Committing suicide is the person's own choice. Yeah, it's horrid thing to happen, but ultimately it's their choice and no one else's. If someone thinks that the only way to no longer feel so bad is to kill themself and just be done with living, well then go ahead and let them. I know most people find it offensive to say such a thing, but everyone has differing opinions, right? I saw in a previous post that someone said if you commit suicide you're a coward and I feel that's just a wrong thing to say. No one has any idea what that person is going through and a person shouldn't be called a coward for wanting to end their suffering. I know that some people attempt suicide for the attention, but there are a lot of people who do actually suffer.

I also wanted to address that "don't be selfish" attitude some take when talking about suicide. Those who committed suicide or who are contemplating suicide are being selfish to a degree, but the people who are telling them to stop being selfish are being selfish themself. They don't want to feel guilt at not being able to help the person and that's alright. However, don't try to make that person think of others before their own pain.

Where have you been all my life? I think I am in love. <3 But seriously, you prove several good points especially that one that I quoted. I have recently lost an uncle to suicide and I know that he was having a real crisis. I can't say that I would have done anything different. People handle different situations different ways. People always tell you when you are in school "you can be anything you want to be" and if I want to be dead then I will be dead on my terms and I will tell you when it will be. I don't want to go and not know it's coming, I have to settle scores and tell the people I love that I love them.

Your keyboard should be taken away. Maybe use it for a good whack to the back of the head.

You see, anyone that thinks suicide is wrong, is probably religious. The world or US, to be more specific, is not based on religion. So should it be allowed? I think yes because sometimes, there is nothing to help someone. But this is only on very LIMITED situations. Some things can not be helped, but some can. If someone is depressed, there are medications that may help. Say if a person just has nothing to live for. He/she may be just sitting all day, doing nothing, just sad all the time. If he/she just wants to end it, than it should be allowed. Now from a Religious point of view, I would say NOOOOO, but this is not a religious based world...

Thanks, Irken21. Estel, this country is a very religious country. Look at your legal tender, marriage, and most other governmental documents and laws. We are not SUPPOSED to be religious, but we are.

What I am, trying to say, is that this country is very religious, but laws aren't based on religion because there are so many other religions. If this country was based solely on religion, there wouldn't be lethal pills, abortion, the allowance of gay marriages in some states.

Oh, and Weeman, you're cheating on me!?!??!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?lol

The whole point of suicide is to kill yourself at the expense of everyone else. You are not supposed to care how others feel. If I go out it's going to be with flames and tons of glory! Like "Iron Guts Kelly!" I doubt there are any MASH fans here, but whatever.

I have attempted suicide.
Several times.
No, I would not recommend it. I was a coward, and had I died I would have deserved it for my cowardice.
