Hello everyone,

After days of review, MrDayCee has been nominated by the moderation team and accepted the position of moderator. He will be eased into the position for these next couple weeks; please give him the respect due him in the position.

Just wondering, was this in plan for ages, or was it a result of all this complaining we've been doing?

Congratulations though.

he is probably the only moderator that is even forum active anymore

A shame, you're not looking hard enough

Being a mod tends to reduce forum activity (I saw this happen to Freakenstein), but I think he has enough activity to moderate well.

I do not believe this is me, sir.

When Frank was modded he wasn't really active for a few days

MrDayCee becoming mod will probably be the most best modish thing that will ever happen cause obviously they don't respond unless theres like spam or something.

Of course I'm not trying to give the wrong idea but anyway MrDayCee good luck on a mysterious adventure to help this community. Heck if you just do good for a couple years you may even be a mod.

Yeah, I'm really glad that we all deliberated as a team for days over this. With lots of pondering and scratching of beards (if, you know, we have ones.) Yup, all of us a team.

Really glad it was not a totally out of the blue revelation with little or no communication with the majority of the existing team. That would of been a helluva shock to the system, making people upset. Phew, dodged that bullet there. XD

I have a sneaky suspicion that there is a hint of sarcasm in this post...hmm...

Is Stroppy quitting though? He hinted he would when he had a successor last year.

Strop has been wanting to quit since forever. He then decided he wanted to resign when I got modded, because then I could continue on for him. He then didn't have time to resign, because the WoM, then I managed to resign before him...
Practically speaking, Strop has been resigned since the summer of 09, technically speaking....

When I say active, I'm talking about participating in the community (posting, commenting, rating). I know you could've been lurking, but nobody knows for sure. There wasn't an online/offline button back then.

Well there was one, it just didn't work.
Yup, all of us a team.

So were the mods that are almost never on in on this too? Like Asher?

Even if all of you didn't agree there aren't many choices out there. It's not like ArmorGames has an abundant supply of mod-worthy users. MrDayCee was the obvious choice, I'm sure many knew he was going to be chosen sooner or later, just like how we all knew Frank would become one. Though I did expect one or two more new mods besides MDC, the people I had in mind must've not been picked because they rarely venture out of the WEPR.

Some people I think you might be thinking of....MageGray, nich, Kasic, and HahiHa. Get any right?

nich I could see becoming one...the others I'm not so sure (like you said, they usually just stick to WEPR...and would their viewpoints affect how they treat a user? Just a thought)

Though...they'd all be good with dealing with a user that tries to argue with them about a situation..

I was thinking Mage and Kasic.
and would their viewpoints affect how they treat a user?

You never know how a person will react, but I don't think they'd let something like that get in the way of a decision. Most of the current mods are atheists, you don't see them attacking theists on the site or treating them any worse than other atheists.

However thinking about it, there could be other reasons, because NoName's a mod yet he mainly sticks to the WEPR.
