i personal dont believe it but many groups have predicted it ex: mayans,hopi indians,the bible St Malachy predicted the world will end with the 112th pope; pope bendict is our 111th pope. Why would all these people predict the same date?
with the flying car statement... actually there ar flying cars. We have made them. Just we chose not to sell them because of the fact that what if we crash in the sky? Or stall, or anything like that. We need so much more care and we need to have flying licenses... Its just easier not to sell them. Um Mayans facts have actually come true, coinsidently, and with global warming (and USA's unhelpfullness with destroying the electric car, and causing so much pollution, and not signing anything of which to help out the world) it could easily come to an end.
Yes, there are flying cars, and no, it isn't a coincidence that the Mayan calender ends on Dec. 21, 2012. They predicted that to be the end of the world. All of the predictions are based around religion, so that is more a question of what do you believe in.
There are many possible ways for the world to end, even on this day. Most of them are unlikely and won't happen, but don't rule out the possiblility.
The LHC(Large Hadron Collider) was just started this past week and there are chances that something could go wrong with this machine. And because of the machine's nature, the results can easily end the world. Of course most are unlikely once again.
Also, you must realize that even if you believe in NO religion, the sun will eventually run out of energy, and when that happens, the world would literally be desroyed(the physical planet).
Everyone can say, "so and so said it would end on X" and "it has been said this would happen on X date", etc, etc. All we can really do is forget about it because whatever. We act as if we can stop the end of the world if we know when or why it will happen. If it is fate on a certain date, then there is no other option. If the sun blows up, let's hope we are not still on this planet(and have developed a better and more sophisticated space program). So really, whatever. When the world ends it ends. Can't be stopped.
juan the world will definitley end someday, unless mankind could somehow turn the earth into a giant rocketship and move it far enough away so that when our sun dies, it wont expand and burn us to cinders. Its inevitable the earth will end, but mankind might not if we can learn to live or figure out how to live in other galaxies on other planets.
It will end when I push this button to make all the volcanoes on earth go off, and I have set up bombs to make tidal waves a hurricanes. So I am holding the worl dransom for ONE MILLION DOLLARS! *pinkie to lip* (AUSTIN POWERS REFERENCE.) We cannot tell when the world will end. We will not know when the world will end. But when it does end, we will most likely all be dead. And earth will be a inahbitable wasteland with the few surviors dying off when said sun explodes. My opinon.
It's gonna be like 9/11, people will be thinkinbg the world will end, and using atoms and crashing plains everywhere. I'll just do my best to survive. (I don't believe it will end)
