According to the Mayans, the world ends 2012, according to some crazy religious people and cults, the world ends 2012.

You know, I'm fairly certain the sun wile annihilate us before it explodes anyways, since don't they expand as they get older? Meaning its closer to earth, more heat=most animals becoming extinct.

As for the 2012 prediction, I'll pass on believing in it. If for some weird reason it actually does happen, great, kudos to the believers.

Noone knows and noone will ever know until it happens. God is the only one who does know,it may happen tomarrow or it may happen in the year 6200.

Its not exactly the world ending, they predicted a giant massive volcano may errupt and destroy a good portion of the earth, but its all just superstition I dont really believe it..

Actually the entire area of Yellowstone National Park sits atop a subterranean chamber of molten rock and gasses so vast that the region is arguably one of the largest active volcanoes in the world. It could blow tomorrow and take the over half the Northwestern Seaboard with it along with at least one third of the known USA.

The entire process of predicting the end of the world is really all based on the ending of the Myan calendar... There is really no hard evidence that says anything is true, The Myans calendar ends in 2012 so everybody else believes it like a disease. Personally, I have no idea; it could end, it could not... I think, though, that if the world is going to end, it will be by nuclear fallout rather than a religious apocalypse. Much like in Clancy's Novel, "Bear and the Dragon" China and someone like USA, Europe, or Russia is going to go to war. Someone along the way is going to start busting out the nukes, and we're going to blow ourselves up.
